OPPO Find X2 with 6.5-inch QHD+ OLED 120Hz screen surfaces

It was back in December when we learnt at the Qualcomm Summit that OPPO would announce its Find X2 smartphone sometime in Q1 2020. Now  details have surfaces showing the Find X2’s screen that will be a Samsung OLED curved display.

HAVIT i37 Wireless Bluetooth 5.0 in-ear Sports earphones launched in India for Rs. 1169

Qualcomm has introduced Snapdragon 720G, 662 and 460 Mobile Platforms with 4G connectivity, Wi-Fi 6 features and integrated Bluetooth 5.1 with advanced audio via the Qualcomm FastConnect 6-series subsystems, support Dual-Frequency (L1 and L5) GNSS to improve location positioning accuracy and robustness, and are the first system-on-chip solutions to support Navigation with Indian Constellation (NavIC). Xiaomi Mi Router 4C with omnidirectional antennas launched in India for Rs. 999

Xiaomi launched the Mi Router 3C back in 2017 and it was due for a refresh for quite some time now. While the company launched Dual Band routers in China, the 3C that was launched here did not support dual-band WiFi. On similar lines now, Xiaomi has launched the single band Mi Router 4C in India and replaces the Mi Router 3C here.

Samsung to build its first display manufacturing plant in India

According to a regulatory filing with the Registrar of Companies (RoC), Samsung is reportedly setting India’s first display manufacturing unit in the outskirts of Delhi. The company is investing over Rs. 3500 crores into this  Samsung Display facility, which will be a part of Samsung India Electronics.

Zomato acquires Uber Eats in India, delivery partners and users transferred to Zomato

Uber launched its online food delivery service Uber Eats back in 2017. Today Zomato has announced that it has acquired Uber Eats’ India business in an all-stock transaction, which gives Uber 9.99% ownership in Zomato. Uber Eats in India will discontinue operations and direct restaurants, delivery partners, and users of the Uber Eats apps to the Zomato platform, effective today.

HUAWEI will use TomTom for maps instead of Google Maps

Earlier last year, Google suspended some of its business operations with HUAWEI which includes a ban on using Google Services and Play Store. Subsequently, the company got another 90-day license extension to do business with American firms. While the smartphones launched by HUAWEI recently doesn’t come with Google Play Services, the company has been working on alternatives. On similar lines now, HUAWEI will use TomTom for navigation instead of Google Maps.

Amazon India starts rolling out electric delivery vehicles, plans for 10,000 EVs by 2025

Amazon India has announced that it has started rolling out electric delivery vehicles across India after successful pilots across different cities in 2019. It said that its fleet of delivery vehicles in the country will include 10,000 electric vehicles (EVs) by 2025.  These EVs are in addition to the global commitment of 100,000 electric vehicles in the delivery fleet by 2030 announced in the Climate Pledge signed by Amazon.
