Vi commences migration of 3G spectrum to 4G in Delhi NCR

Vodafone Idea today announced that it is working on refarming 3G spectrum to 4G across all sites in Delhi & NCR. This development includes the deployment of 5 MHz of 2100 MHz spectrum band, meaning that Vi customers in Delhi will get to enjoy higher download and upload speeds apart from better indoor coverage. OPPO Reno5 Pro 5G: Full Dimension Fusion Portrait Video System to offer enhanced video experience

The OPPO Reno5 Pro 5G is coming to India on the January 18th, 2021, featuring a 6.5-inch FHD+ 90Hz OLED display, and it will be powered by the Dimensity 1000+ SoC. iPhone 13 Pro said to use Samsung LTPO OLED panel for 120Hz refresh rate display

Samsung will be the exclusive supplier of OLED panels used in two top-end iPhone 13 models that will launch later this year, according to a new report from THE ELEC in Korea. The report also says that all the four iPhone 13 models will use OLED display, however only the two top-tier or Pro models will come with low-temperature polycrystalline oxide (LTPO) thin-film transistors (TFT) OLED panels made by Samsung Display and will also support 120Hz refresh rate. Dell introduces Latitude 9420, 9520 laptops, 40-inch ultrawide monitor and more ahead of CES 2021

Dell has announced a few new laptops for their Business focused Latitude series of laptops, featuring  Intel’s new 11th Gen vPro chips and an integrated webcam shutter feature called “SafeShutter”. Along with this, Dell also announced the UltraSharp 40 Curved WUHD display along with the Dell 34 Curved Video Conferencing Monitors.

Indian brand boAt raises $100 million from Warburg Pincus

Indian brand boAt popular for its personal audio products today announced that it has raised approximately $100 million (over Rs. 731 crore) from an affiliate of Warburg Pincus, a leading global private equity fund focused on growth investing. This comes after it raised $60 million (Rs. 440 crore) funding from South Lake Investment. Post-money valuation of boAt is estimated at over $300 million (over Rs. 2192 crore). WhatsApp updates terms of service and privacy policy: Accept it by Feb 8 to continue using the service

WhatsApp has started pushing a new notification for Android and iPhone users as part of an upcoming global roll-out, asking them to either accept the changes in its Terms of Service and privacy policy by February 8 or delete the account. Back in 2016 for the first time after it was acquired by Facebook, WhatsApp updated its privacy policy saying that it will share user’s data with Facebook, but it had opt out option. Cristiano Amon to be the next Qualcomm CEO succeeding Steve Mollenkopf

Qualcomm today announced that Cristiano Amon will be the next CEO of Qualcomm unanimously selected by the Board of Directors. Amon, who has worked at Qualcomm since 1995, is currently President of the Company. Amon will succeed Mollenkopf effective June 30, 2021 after he retires as CEO following 26 years with Qualcomm.
