Samsung announces PM9A3 NVMe SSDs with E1.S form-factor

Targeting next generation data centre storage, Samsung Electronics has announced their PM9A3 NVMe SSDs that uses the SNIA-based E1.S form factor with full PCIe Gen 4 support. It will supports read speeds up to 3200MB/s, random writes of 180,000 IOPs and more.

Sony announces world’s first intelligent vision sensors with AI processing

Sony Corporation has announced two intelligent vision sensors — IMX500 1/2.3-type (7.857 mm diagonal) approx. and IMX501 1/2.3-type (7.857 mm diagonal) approx. These 12.3MP sensors support 4K(4056×2288)60fps

Vodafone Idea launches voice-based contactless recharge at retail outlets

Vodafone Idea has introduced yet another initiative to help their customers maintain social distancing protocols when using their retail store services. It is a voice-based contactless recharge option that is enabled in the Vodafone Idea Smart Connect retailer app, using Google voice recognition to input a customer’s phone number.

Xiaomi introduces Mi AirDots 2 SE with Bluetooth 5.0, dual microphones for call noise reduction

Xiaomi today introduced the Mi AirDots 2 SE, a cheaper version of the AirDots 2 in  China. It comes with Bluetooth 5.0, smart voice controls, dual microphones for ENC, which is environmental noise cancellation. It has the same 14.2mm drivers, but only comes with AAC codec and not the LDHC Hi-Res audio codec like AirDots 2 and 2S. The headset automatically connects with the phone running MIUI when you open the case and pick up the earphones. Apple iPhone SE 2020 will go on sale in India on Flipkart from May 20

Apple introduced the new iPhone SE last month priced starting at Rs. 42500.  Few days back it also announced limited period offer for HDFC Bank cards making the effective price Rs. 38,900 after Rs. 3600 cashback. Today Flipkart has confirmed that it will sell the phone starting from May 20th at 12PM.  Apple supplier Redington already confirmed that the phone will be available in 3500+ retail locations across India so the phone should also be available from Authorized Apple resellers on the same day. After several teasers, HUAMI just confirmed that it will introduce its Amazfit Ares smartwatch in China on May 19th. The company also confirmed 70 sports modes and FIRSTBEAT professional-level sports analysis features like VO2Max, Exercise Effect (TE), Exercise Load (TD) and Recovery Time Data.
