SK hynix acquires Intel’s NAND memory and storage business for $9 billion

SK hynix, one of the world’s biggest manufacturer and supplier of NAND flash storage, is further expanding their business with the acquisition of Intel’s NAND memory and storage business. The agreement will cost SK hynix a total of $9 billion and is expected to close by March 2025.

LG SIGNATURE OLED R world’s first rollable TV starts rolling out

Back in CES 2019, LG revealed the world’s first roll-able OLED TV line — the SIGNATURE OLED R. The TV was supposed to go on sale last year however due to some issues that did not happen. LG is now launching the 65-inch SIGNATURE OLED R on sale in South Korea for a whopping price tag of KRW 100 million, which is approximately $87,000 or about 63.8 lakh rupees.

Samsung Galaxy Fit2 with 1.1-inch AMOLED display, 50m water resistance launched in India for Rs. 3999

Samsung has launched the Galaxy Fit2 fitness tracker in India. It sports a 1.1-inch AMOLED display that is housed in 3D curved glass and the display has a peak brightness of 450 nits and has over 70 different downloadable watch faces. The Fit2 can automatically detect and tracks up to 5 activities, and provide users with various insights such as heart rate, distance, and calories burned. There is a sleep tracking feature as well and there are support for Gyro, Photo plethysmography, and Accelerometer sensors. LG may not launch Snapdragon 875-powered phone in first half of 2021

LG introduced its V60 ThinQ 5G smartphone powered by Snapdragon 865 earlier this year. Now a new report from Korea says that the company might not use the upcoming flagship Snapdragon 875 for its flagship smartphone in the first half of 2021. The report claims that LG is missing from the list of companies that have placed orders for the flagship Qualcomm SoC. NASA awards $14.1 million contract to Nokia to build 4G infrastructure on the moon

The race to build a functional base on the moon is heating up as NASA recently announced $370 million in new contracts, given out to many private companies. Among them is a $14.1 million contract that was awarded to Nokia Bell Labs to build the first LTE/4G cellular communication network on the moon.
