Few days after launching the Titanium S1 Plus running Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean), Karbonn has launched Titanium S99, the company’s first budget phone running on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has a 4-inch IPS display and is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor. Motorola Droid Ultra, Maxx and Mini to get Android 4.4.4 KitKat update skipping 4.4.3

Motorola is giving Android KitKat 4.4.4 update to Droid Ultra, Maxx and Mini. The company is skipping 4.4.3 update entirely on all these devices. All of these device users were eagerly waiting for the update which has been cancelled by Motorola in order to work on the latest update which will take some more time.

HTC Volantis with 8.9″ display, Tegra K1 processor leaked as upcoming Nexus tablet

HTC hasn’t been entirely secretive about their plans to launch a new tablet later this year and the latest rumors seem to corroborate those whispers. It is believed that the company might have been tasked with the production of Google’s next Nexus tablet. HTC had been responsible for making the first Nexus handset ie the G1.

Initially known as the Nexus 8 and believed to be codenamed the Flounder, latest news indicated that the handset will be called the HTC Volantis. The tablet will pack a 8.9″ display with a resolution of 2048×1440 pixels. This resolution suggests that the tablet will approach a 4:3 aspect ratio. This would be the same as seen on Apple’s iPad series of tablets and has proven to be more conducive for reading. Acer Chromebook CB5 powered by Tegra K1 surfaces

Acer’s latest Chromebook CB5 has been leaked online by a Swedish retailer. The CB5 features a 13.3-inch HD screen and is powered by a powerful Nvidia Tegra K1 CPU rather than a traditional Intel-based chip, according to a website’s listing.

Xolo Q600s the company’s first budget smartphone running Android 4.4 (Kitkat) was launched last month. We brought you the unboxing of the smartphone recently, here we have the benchmarks of the device. It is powered by a quad-core Broadcom BCM 23550 processor clocked at  1.2 GHz per core with 312 MHz Videocore IV GPU. It has a 4.5-inch (960 ×540 pixels) qHD screen and 1GB of RAM. Oppo launched the Oppo R1 (R829), successor of last year’s Oppo R819 in India April in India priced at Rs. 26990. We brought you the unboxing and the benchmarks of the device recently, here we have the camera samples from the smartphone. It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with Fujitsu ISP,  1/3.2″ Sony IMX179 sensor with pixel size of 1.4 microns, f/2.0 aperture, 5-element lens and blue glass filter. It also has a single LED flash. Path launches Path Talk Messenger for Android and iPhone

Path, Inc., the company behind the Path social network has launched Path Talk, its first messaging app for Android and iPhone. After introducing messaging feature in the Path app that was successful, it decided to launch a separate app for messaging. It has a 4.5-inch qHD display based on One Glass Solution (OGS), powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Broadcom processor and has 1GB of RAM. Samsung to reportedly announce its Android Wear smartwatch at Google I/O

Google announced Android Wear, its wearable platform back in March and also announced that it is working with several manufacturers, including Asus, HTC, LG, Motorola and Samsung to introduce watches powered by Android Wear this year. CNET is reporting that Samsung would unveil its first Android Wear watche at Google I/O next week.
