LG L80 Dual gets priced on official India website at Rs. 17500

LG unveiled the L Series III lineup that includes L40, L70 and L90 at the MWC 2014 back in February. Both the L70 Dual and L90 Dual smartphones went on sale in India recently. Today, the LG L80 Dual (D380) has been listed on the official LG India website, priced at Rs. 17,500 (MRP). Even though the phone was showcased at the MWC earlier this year, press images of the LG L80 Dual surfaced in Russia last month and it went on the official Russian website few weeks back. LG confirms Android KitKat update to G Pro Lite and L9 II

LG is rolling out Android KitKat update to G Pro Lite and Optimus L9 II according to the LG Italy’s Facebook Page. As per the announcement, the L9 II will receive the 4.4.2 KitKat update “in the coming weeks” while the G Pro Lite towards the end of Q2. However, there are reports coming from Slovakia that L9 II has already starting receiving the update.

HTC One Sense 6 update now rolling out in India

HTC released the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for the HTC One in India earlier this year, now the company has started rolling out the Sense 6 update for the Indian users. Last month HTC promised that it would release the Sense 6 update for the HTC One users starting from May, and it has kept its promise. Alcatel One Touch has announced that it would launched the One Touch Idol X+, the company’s latest flagship smartphone and the successor of last year’s One Touch Idol X in India on May 29th in partnership with Flipkart. It was initially announced back in December last year in China and it was showcased at the CES 2014 in January. It packs a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display at 440 PPI, powered by a 2 GHz MediaTek MT6592 Octa-Core processor with Mali 450 GPU and runs Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). Apple reportedly planning to foray into Smart Home market

The year 2014 was touted to be the year of wearables and we did see devices like smartwatch, smart ring, smart contact lens and range of fitness trackers. Another new technology that we saw this year were “Smart Appliances” which reminded us of the popular cartoon Jetsons. Companies like LG and Samsung sell home appliances like washers and refrigerators that can be connected to internet and controlled via smartphone.

HTC M8 Ace that showed up in a press image last week showing its curved back has surfaced again, this time showing its display on the front. The image that has been leaked by the same Chinese website looks similar to the phone that got certified on Tenaa recently. LG G3 Wireless Charging dock leaked ahead of release

Last week leaked presentation slides confirmed all the specifications of the much anticipated smartphone LG G3. The company also announced QuickCircle Cases for its upcoming flagship smartphone that is scheduled for a launch this week on May 27th. These folder-style case lets users check the time, place calls, send text messages, take photos, listen to music and more from the circular window, without opening the phone. More leaks related to accessories of the phone have surfaced online over the weekend.
