Samsung Galaxy Watch with Super AMOLED display, military-level durability, LTE announced

Samsung just announced Galaxy Watch at its New York event.  It comes in 46mm version and 42mm options with 1.3-inch and 1.2-inch (360×360 pixels) Circular Super AMOLED Always On Display with the latest Corning Gorilla Glass DX+ protection and has rotating bezel. These run Tizen- Based Wearable Platform 4.0. It has 5ATM + IP68 ratings for water resistance, certified for military-level durability, comes with NFC and Magnetic Secure Transmission (MST) support for mobile payments using Samsung Pay, built-in speaker for activate voice messaging and music listening, and GPS.

Samsung Galaxy Note9 with 6.4-inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED display, 8GB RAM, 4000mAh battery, Bluetooth S Pen announced

Samsung just announced Galaxy Note9 smartphone at its New York event, as it had promised. It comes with a 6.4-inch Quad HD+  Super AMOLED Display – an end-to-end, bezel-less screen that extends to the phone’s sides, similar to the Note8. It has 12-megapixel rear camera with variable aperture tech that uses f/1.5 aperture for night shots for a brighter picture and f/2.4 aperture for normal shots in daytime as well as a secondary 12MP Telephoto lens for live focus for bokeh effect with background blur, similar to the S9+. OPPO F9 global launch confirmed for August 15; VOOC Flash charge, Gradient colors, Waterdrop screen teased

This week OPPO confirmed that F9 smartphone will launch in Vietnam on August 15, and OPPO India today confirmed that the F9 Pro smartphone will launch in India on August 21st. Now OPPO has announced that F9 will be launched in Philippines as well on August 15th. It also highlighted VOOC Flash charge, gradient colors, as well as a unique Waterdrop Screen design for the smartphone.

LG G6 Android Oreo update finally starts rolling out in India, brings ThinQ branding

After V30+, LG has finally started rolling out Android 8.0 (Oreo) update for the LG G6 smartphone in India. This will turn the phone into LG G6 ThinQ and also brings out several new features, including new camera app layout, but it doesn’t bring AI Cam like the V30+. OPPO F9 Pro with 6.3-inch FHD+ 19:9 display, 25MP AI front camera, dual rear cameras launching in India on August 21

OPPO has finally sent out invites for the launch of its new F9 Pro smartphone in India on August 21st. Complete specifications of the OPPO F9 went official in Vietnam earlier this week where the phone will launch on August 15th. The F9 will launch as the F9 Pro in India, and it is the successor of  OPPO F7 which was launched back in March this year.

Xiaomi teases its new POCO sub-brand and POCOPHONE smartphone ahead of India launch

Xiaomi has finally started teasing its sub-brand POCO in India ahead of the launch of POCOPHONE F1 in the country. Jai Mani, lead product manager, Xiaomi India tweeted that he has been working on the project. Even though the phone it teased as POCOPHONE by Xiaomi for global markets, it is teased as POCO by Xiaomi in India, which rhymes like OPPO who launched the Realme sub-brand recently to take on Xiaomi’s Redmi.

Xiaomi POCOPHONE  F1 surfaced in an online listing in Romania this week, now the unboxing of the smartphone has surfaced online. This shows a display with 19:9 aspect ratio and a notch, Snapdragon 845 SoC with support for liquid cooling ,6GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, dual rear cameras, 20MP front camera along with IR face unlock, similar to the Mi 8, fingerprint sensor on the back and a 4000mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging along with QC 3.0 charger in the box. Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 10nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 615 GPU, AI features announced

Qualcomm just introduced Snapdragon 670 Mobile Platform, the company’s latest SoC in the new 600 series and the successor of last year’s Snapdragon 660 SoC that is now seen in several mid-range smartphones, including the Xiaomi Mi A2 that was launched in India today. It is built on power-efficient 10nm process technology based on new Kryo 360 architecture, built on ARM Cortex technology, same as the 710.
