Motorola One Power sold out instantly in first sale, next sale on October 11

Motorola launched  One Power, the company’s first Android One smartphone in India last week priced competitively at Rs. 15,999. The phone went on sale for the first time  exclusively on Flipkart at 12 noon. The company said that the phone went out of stock instantly and also said that it sold around 100 units per second, however it did not share the number of units sold.

Samsung’s earnings guidance for Q3 2018 reveals another record profit

Samsung has posted its earnings guidance for the third quarter of 2018, which reveals that it will post an all time high 17.5 (17.4 ~ 17.6) trillion Korean won ($15.5 billion approx.) in operating profits for the quarter, 20% up from a year earlier. Lenovo schedules a smartphone launch event in India on October 16

It has been over one year since Lenovo launched a smartphone in India. After the launch of K8 Plus and K8 smartphones back in September last year, the company is gearing to launch its Killer smartphone in India. The company calls its K series Note smartphones ‘Killer Note’ so there are chances we can expect the successor to the K8 Note that was launched back in August last year.

POCO F1 Rosso Red Edition to go on sale in India from October 11

After teasers, POCO has officially announced that the Rosso Red Edition of the POCO F1 smartphone will go on sale in India next week. This joins the Graphite Black, Steel Blue and Armored Edition with Kevlar back that were on sale from August.

Samsung Galaxy Note9 Lavender Purple and Galaxy S9+ Burgundy Red color variants launched in India

Samsung has launched Galaxy S9+ in Burgundy Red that joins the Sunrise Gold, Midnight Black, Coral Blue, and Lilac Purple color variants. It has also launched the Lavender Purple version of the Galaxy Note9 in the country that joins the Midnight Black, Ocean Blue and Metallic Copper color variants.

Nokia True Wireless Earbuds and Pro Wireless Earphones announced

HMD Global, along with the Nokia 7.1 also introduced the Nokia True Wireless Earbuds and the Nokia Pro Wireless Earphones. The True Wireless Earbuds weighs just 5 grams per earbud and promises 3.5 hours play time, and the charging case can hold three charges giving a total of up to 16 hours of talk time. Nokia 7.1 with 5.84-inch FHD+ 19:9 HDR PureDisplay, Snapdragon 636, Dual rear cameras with ZEISS optics announced

HMD Global just announced the Nokia 7.1, the company’s latest mid-range Android One smartphone, after it surfaced recently. The main highlight of the phone is its 5.84-inch Full HD+  19:9 screen with a notch, 80% screen-to-body ratio, has support for HDR and also supports SD to HDR real-time conversion. With HDR10 support; 1 million: 1 dynamic contrast ratio; 500-million pixels processed per second providing smooth and accurate HDR video.The display also adapts to indoor and bright outdoor sunlight. The company calls it PureDisplay. It runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo) but the company has promised Android 9.0 (Pie) update . Xiaomi teams up with Dixon Technologies to manufacture Mi LED TVs in India

After rumors, Xiaomi today announced that it has tied up with homegrown consumer electronics contract manufacturer Dixon Technologies for ‘Make in India’ Mi TV. The plant is located in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, spread across 32 acres and employs around 850 people. The factory will result in a production capacity of 100,000 Mi LED TVs per month by Q1 2019.

LG Watch W7 Hybrid Wear OS Smartwatch with mechanical hands announced

Alongside the LG V40 ThinQ, LG announced the LG Watch W7, its first hybrid smartwatch that combines mechanical movement with digital functionalities powered by Wear OS by Google. It features quartz movement and physical watch hands in a stainless steel body and has been developed in partnership with Soprod SA of Switzerland. LG V40 ThinQ with 6.4-inch QHD+ OLED FullVision display, triple rear cameras, dual front cameras announced

LG has announced its flagship V40 ThinQ penta camera smartphone as it had promised. It has a 6.4-inch FullVision OLED display with bottom bezel that is 1.6mm thinner than the predecessor. The main highlight of the smartphone is its cameras. It has triple rear cameras, 16MP 107-degree super wide-angle, 12MP standard angle and 12MP telephoto with 2x optical zoom (or 3.2x the zoom of the wide-angle lens). The Triple Shot feature stitches together the images captured with each of the three lenses into a short video file for easy sharing. BlackBerry Evolve with 5.99-inch FHD+ display, 13MP dual rear cameras to go on sale in India on October 10 exclusively on Amazon

Optiemus launched the BlackBerry Evolve and EvolveX smartphones in India in August. The EvolveX went on sale by end of August, and the company said that the Evolve will go on sale from mid-September, however after a slight delay, the phone will be available exclusively from Amazon.in on October 10 for Rs. 24,990.

Honor 8X with 6.5-inch FHD+ display, Kirin 710, AI dual rear cameras launching in India on October 16

Huawei’s Honor brand introduced the Honor 8X, successor of the Honor 7X in China last month. The company has started global roll out of the phone from Dubai and Spain yesterday. It has also confirmed that it will launch in India on October 16th at an event in Delhi, after launching in Malaysia, Russia and Czech Republic next week.

Nokia 7.1 with 5.84-inch FHD+ 19:9 display, Snapdragon 636, Dual rear cameras with ZEISS optics surfaces

After the Nokia 7.1 Plus (TA-1131) got certified by TENAA last week, now the live images and specifications of the Nokia 7.1 (TA-1100) has surfaced. This reveals a 5.84 FHD+ display with a notch and Snapdragon 636 SoC, similar to the Nokia 6.1 Plus, and the cameras with feature ZEISS optics with support for HDR videos. Images reveal a glass back, rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and a metal frame.
