Nokia HERE Maps for iPhone and iPad now available for download

 

Nokia announced  last week that they would launch HTML5-based HERE Maps app for Android and iOS. Now the HERE Maps is available for iPhone and iPad users.  This uses NAVTEQ mapping data and lets you explore and search places easily. It also offers live traffic view, public transport line, driving directions, voice navigation, option to save maps data for offline use and more.

Aircel Pocket Internet Games Card with unlimited games and 2G data launched

DisneyUTV Digital announced yesterday that they have partnered with EA Mobile to bring games for carriers and OEMs in India. Now, Aircel has launched Aircel Pocket Internet Games card in partnership with DisneyUTV and Electronic Arts (EA). This would let Aircel customers download and play any number of games and play immediately without staying connected. Some of the EA and Disney’s exhaustive gaming title library include, Need for Speed, EA Cricket, FIFA, Medal of Honor, Pirates of Caribbean and more. Zen Ultraphone U1 Dual SIM Android phone launched for Rs. 4999

Zen Mobiles launched range of Android tablets under UltraTab, now they have launched Ultraphone U1, their new phone running on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It has a 3.5-inch (480×320 pixels) TFT capacitive touch screen display and is powered by a 1 GHz processor. It has a 3.2MP camera with flash and comes with pre-loaded applications like Skype, Facebook, G-talk, MapMyIndia navigation app, Cricbuzz, nexGTV with Live TV, Loop Channels & VOD support and Ganesha Speaks astrology app.

Firefox for Android v17.0 update brings support for devices with ARMv6 processors


Mozilla has updated their Firefox browser for Android to version 17.0 that brings support for ARMv6 phones with at least 800MHZ processor and minimum 512MB RAM. With this update, more than 500 million Android phones including popular phones such as Samsung Galaxy Pro GT-B7510, HTC Status, HTC ChaCha, Samsung Galaxy Ace, Motorola XT531, and the Motorola Fire XT can run the Firefox Browser. The Digital business of DisneyUTV has announced that they have partnered with EA Mobile to bring top mobile games to carries and local OEMs in India. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE comes with similar features as the Galaxy Note 10.1, including a 10.1-inch WXGA (1280 x 800 pixel) TFT display, 1.4 GHz Quad-Core Processor, 2GB RAM and a 7,000mAh battery. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE would come with VoLTE (Voice over LTE) feature that simultaneously supports voice call, video, and data transmission. HTC Deluxe, global variant of Droid DNA leaks

Press render of the HTC Deluxe, global variant of the HTC Droid DNA has surfaced, thanks to @evleaks. HTC Droid DNA was announced for Verizon Wireless in USA and it was first launched in Japan as HTC J Butterfly last month. There are no details about the specs yet but is expected to come with similar specs including a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) 1080p Full HD super LCD 3 display at 440 PPI, 1.5 GHz processor quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 processor, a 8MP auto focus camera at the back with LED flash, BSI sensor, 1080p HD video recorder and a 2.1MP front-facing camera with HD video recording. Futuremark has announced that new 3DMark Cross-platform Benchmarking tool would be available for Windows RT, Android, iPhone and iPad other than Windows, later this year. The new 3DMark tool would also let you compare scores across all these platforms, since the test content, settings and rendering resolution are similar. 3DMark is popular benchmarking tool for PCs, 3DMark 11 is the latest version on Windows. This would compete with the GLBenchmark, popular benchmarking tool that is available on Android, iPhone and iPad. Airtel has introduced world’s first free intercontinental incoming roaming service that would let the Airtel customers in Africa enjoy free incoming calls while roaming in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. This would be available for Airtel customers in 17 countries across Africa. Airtel introduced local outgoing calls for Indian customers at Re.1/min while roaming in Sri Lanka and Bangladesh earlier this year.
