Lenovo launched the Vibe X2 smartphone with unique layered design last week in India priced at Rs. 19,999, it is now available for sale on Flipkart. The second generation Vibe X series smartphone has a 5-inch 1080p display, powered by a 2 GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6595 processor and runs on Android 4.4 (Kitkat) with Vibe UI 2.0 on top. It has a 13-megapixel auto-focus rear camera with LED Flash and a 5-megapixel wide-angle front-facing camera. LG G3 Android 5.0 Lollipop update to roll out starting this week

LG just announced that it would start rolling out Android 5.0 Lollipop update for its flagship LG G3 smartphone this week starting from Poland. This would be followed by other key markets in future, said the Korean giant. HERE Maps Beta gets Android 5.0 Lollipop support, bug fixes and improvements

HERE Maps for Android was launched as beta last month. The app has been updated to version 1.0.220 that brings support for Android 5.0 (Lollipop). This update also brings fixes to downloaded voice files that will not be cleared if the phone’s cache is wiped using a cleaner, as it promised. Samsung launched its Gear S Smartwatch in India last month for Rs. 28,900. Samsung started taking pre-orders for the Gear S earlier this week. Now the smartwatch with a built-in SIM card slot is available for purchase from the their official eStore for Rs. 27,900, which is Rs. 1,000 cheaper compared to the launch price. The Gear S has a 2-inch (360 x 480 pixels) curved Super AMOLED display, comes with a 1GHz dual-core processor and enables you to independently make and receive calls, without connecting to a device and also offers 3G support. HTC Desire 516c Benchmarks

HTC launched the Desire 516c smartphone, the Dual SIM (CDMA + GSM) variant of last year’s Desire 516 in India last month for Rs. 12,990. It is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 200 Processor with four ARM Cortex A7 cores clocked at 1.19 GHz per core and has Adreno 302 GPU. But the CPU-Z and other benchmark apps show that it has a Adreno 305 GPU. It has 1GB RAM, 5-inch (960 × 540 pixels) qHD screen and runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) OS with Sense UI on top. Samsung Galaxy S5 and Galaxy S5 LTE receive another price cut in India

Samsung has reduced the price of the Samsung Galaxy S5 and Galaxy S5 LTE smartphones in India once again. The Galaxy S5 got a price cut to Rs. 37,500 few weeks back, now the smartphone is available from the Samsung India eStore for Rs. 34,900. The LTE version of the Galaxy S5 that got a price cut to Rs. 40,300 recently is now available for Rs.36,900. The Galaxy S5 was launched in April in India for Rs. 51,500 and its LTE version was launched in July for Rs. 53,500.
