Kult, a new entrant in the Indian market launched its Kult 10 smartphone earlier this week for Rs. 7,999. We already brought you the unboxing of the smartphone, here we have the benchmarks. It is powered by a Quad-Core MediaTek MT6735 64-bit processor that has four ARM Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.3GHz per core and has Mali-T720 MP2 GPU. Lenovo launched the Vibe P1m smartphone with a 4,000mAh battery in India in October for Rs. 7999 exclusively on Flipkart. We already brought you the unboxing and the battery test results of the smartphone, here we have its benchmarks. The Vibe P1m is powered by a Quad-Core MediaTek MT6735P 64-bit processor that has four ARM Cortex A53 cores clocked at 988MHz per core and has Mali-T720 MP2 GPU. Qualcomm is renaming Snapdragon 620 and 618 to Snapdragon 652 and 650

Qualcomm has announced that it is renaming Snapdragon 620 and 618 to the Snapdragon 652 and 650, respectively. Both these were introduced earlier this year and have LTE support, including Global Mode RF360 support. Reason for the change in name is to better reflect the positioning and capabilities of these two processors since the Snapdragon 620 and 618 have significant user experience and performance advantages compared to other 600 tier processors 615, 616 and 617. YU just launched YUTOPIA (YU5050), the company’s flagship smartphone, as it promised. It has a 5.2-inch (1440 x 2560 pixels) Quad HD IPS display with 91% NTSC color gamut from Sharp, is powered by an Octa-Core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor and runs on Cyanogen OS 12.1 based on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop). It features a 21-megapixel auto focus rear camera with dual-tone LED Flash, Sony Exmor RS IMX230 sensor, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF) and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera. Flappy Bird creator Dong Nguyen’s .GEARS released Swing Copters game for Android and iOS platforms last August, now its sequel has arrived for both the platforms. In this game you need to control a pilot equipped with a copter-hat to fly through obstacles to get points, similar to the first one, but this adds new obstacles such as swinging hammers. It also has more characters and there is a story for them, but this game will be much more challenging, says the team. Airtel launches 4G LTE services in Sri City

Airtel has launched its 4G LTE services in industrial township of Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, commercially. Airtel launched 4G services in 296 towns across India in August. Airtel 4G is available to customers across mobile phones, dongles, 4G hotspots and Wi-Fi dongles in the city. Airtel has become the first telecom services provider to introduce super fast 4G speeds in Sri City. We brought you the review of the smartphone earlier this week, here we have the battery life test results from the smartphone. It  packs a 2900mAh built-in battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 support. This is actually less than the 3100mAh battery on the Xperia Z3. It has a 5.2-inch 1080p display, is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 810 processor and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop).

Tap to Translate for Android to offer instant translation within apps, coming in Q1 2016

At the Google for India event in Delhi, Google announced that it will release a new feature called Tap to Translate that allows the instant translation of any text on the Android phone. This new feature, you can copy text anywhere on your Android phone and instantly get the translation. Google said that the Translate app will also be updated to offer real time translation in Hindi. It demoed the real-time translation and Tap to Translate features at the event.
