Dell has finally announced the Android Tablet Dell Streak for UK. It was previous known as the Mini5. It has a 5 inch display and runs on Android operating system. No word on the Android Version its running or the price. The tablet would be launched by O2 in UK and will be released this summer in USA.
The is a fresh rumor that the HTC Desire might get the latest android update aka FroYo on June 23rd. We know HTC is already working on bringing the update to all HTC android devices sold in 2010.

There was some speculation that Steve Jobs might not be at this years WWDC. Apple just announced that the Apple CEO will deliver the opening keynote address at WWDC the company’s annual developer conference. This announcement puts the rumors to rest. However no sign of new iPhone being announced on the same day. Will Apple have a seperate event for the new iPhone launch ? June 7th is not too far away. We should find out soon.

Bitstream the company behind the Bolt Mobile Browser has released the 2.1 version of it’s BOLT Browser which was in a Beta for sometime. What’s cool is that the company is claiming that the browser has the best mobile browser video support. If that’s true then its some serious competition for Skyfire. This version has HTML5 Video support in addition to Flash. Bollywood sites such as hungama and bollywoodhungama are supported.
The official Google IO twitter account just posted that the Nexus One would get Android 2.2(a.k.a. “FroYo”) in next few weeks.

Google has just announced the next major update to it’s Android Operating System . You might have heard of the Froyo update for a past several days. The Android 2.2 codenamed Froyo was finally announced at Google IO conference in San Francisco and Google gave away an HTC EVO 4G for Free to all attendees. Coming back to the update, it looks cool and brings some nice changes like ability to turn your phone into a WiFi Hotspot. Google is claiming Performance improvements of 2-5 times over Android 2.1 !
