Lenovo to unveil Tegra 3 tablet later this year

Engadget reports that Lenovo will be launching a Quad Core , Tegra 3 based Android tablet by the end of the year. The OS of choice is not spoken about but we wouldn’t be surprised to see Honeycomb finding its place on the tablet with an update to Ice Cream Sandwich following soon.

Siri encryption broken down , Android port still not likely

Developers at iPhone development house Applidium have done a thorough investigation into the security encryption behind Siri and have worked out a way to get it running on non – iPhone devices as well ! Now before you jump to conclusions, it is important to note that a valid iPhone 4S identification string is needed to authenticate which might work out for a few test situations but would likely result in a ban if thousands of requests were sent.

Photographs have leaked of a Motorola Android tablet which is aimed to be a replacement for media center remote controls. The tablet which is said to come with an inbuilt IR blaster is aimed at the home automation set who might want to replace their universal remotes with an Android tablet which offers extended functionality.

[Breaking] Sony buys out Ericsson’s 50% share in Sony Ericsson

We’re still waiting for more information regarding this but Reuters reports that Sony has bought out Ericsson’s 50% share in the Sony Ericsson joint venture. Sony Ericsson has recently completed 10 years of the JV and started off making feature phones and the iconic Walkman , Cybershot series of devices.

Nokia Asha 200 : Dual SIM , QWERTY enabled S40 device announced

The Nokia Asha 200 is a dual SIM enabled device which allows for Easy Swap ie it is possible to change the SIM card without turning off the device. You also get shortcuts for social networking , email , IM , Orkut and Flickr amongst others.

The phone can support upto 32GB microSD cards allowing users to store thousands of tracks. The phone is rated for 52hours of audio playback. A 2MP camera is also present at the back of the phone.

Nokia 710 : WP7 , Interchangeable Back Covers Announced.

Nokia has just unveiled its 2nd Windows Phone device. The Nokia 710 which comes in black and white varieties will offer a choice of black, white, cyan, fuchsia and yellow back covers. The 3.7-inch screen offers an 800 x 480-pixel resolution with a ClearBlack TFT for great colors and readability even in bright sunlight. At the rear, there’s a five-megapixel auto-focus camera with an LED flash. The camera can also shoot HD video at 30 frames-per-second.
