Millennium Telesystems Private Limited has launched 7-inch Millennium tablets powered by the 1.2GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2520 processors in India. These come with a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) display, have a 2-megapixel rear camera and a VGA front-facing camera. Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 reference hardware devices go on sale

Qualcomm has released reference smartphone and tablet hardware kits. Priced at $799 and $999 respectively, the mobile development platforms are being offered by the Canadian company Intrinsyc.

Google Nexus 9 Benchmarks

Google announced the Nexus 9 tablet made by HTC last month, and it is expected to launch in India soon, starting at Rs. 28,990. We brought you the photo galley and the unboxing of the tablet recently. Here we have the benchmarks of the tablet. The Nexus 9 has is powered by a 64-bit NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor with two Denver CPUs clocked at 2.5GHz per core, rather than the traditional 4+1 Cortex A15 setup. The Kepler GPU has single SMX/GPC design, which amounts to 192 CUDA cores. Even though it has the same Kepler graphics architecture found in its latest generation of PC GPUs such as NVIDIA GeForce Titan, this consumes less than 2W of power. The Nexus 9 has 2GB of RAM and  8.9″ (2048×1536 pixels) IPS display. Check out the synthetic benchmark scores below.

Apple iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 now available for pre-order in India

Apple announced the iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 last month.  It even announced the pricing for these models in India immediately after the announcement. Now both the tablets are available for pre-order from online retailers Flipkart and Infibeam. Flipkart would ship the tablet by the end of the month, which is next week and Infibeam would ship them on November 29th in all the metro cities. Jolla Tablet with 7.85-inch 330ppi display announced, starts at $189 on Indiegogo

A day after Nokia introduced its N1 tablet, Jolla has announced the Jolla Tablet with a similar 2048 x 1536 display. Jolla has taken Indiegogo route for crowdfunding to develop the tablet. In terms of specifications, the Jolla tablet has a 7.89-inch (2048 × 1536 pixels) display at 330 ppi, powered by a 1.8GHz quad-core Intel Atom processor and runs on Jolla Sailfish OS 2.0. Nokia just announced Nokia N1, the company’s first Android tablet through brand-licensing agreement with the OEM partner. It has aluminium unibody build, has a 7.9-inch (2048 × 1536 pixels) display at 326 ppi with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, similar to the Xiaomi Mi Pad, powered by a 64-bit Intel Atom Z3580 processor and runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) with Nokia Z Launcher on the top, but it is not clear if this would have Google Play. Dell has officially launched the new Dell Venue 7 and Venue 8 (3000 series) tablets running Android 4.4 (KitKat) with voice calling capabilities in India. These were announced back in June and went on sale through official Dell website in India last month. The Venue 7 has a 7-inch HD (1280×800) display, powered by a dual-core Intel Atom (Z3460) processor, while the Venue 8 comes with a 8 inch full-HD (1920×1200) display and a dual-core Intel Atom (Z3480).
