Google unveiled the Nexus 9 tablet made by HTC back in October. It got priced at Rs. 28,900 for the 16GB WiFi variant and Rs.44,900 for the 32GB LTE variant on the Google Play Store in India last month. Now the 16GB WiFi Indigo Black variant of the Nexus 9 is on sale on Amazon.in at the same price of Rs. 28,900. The LTE variant is also expected to go on sale soon. Lenovo has launched TAB S8, the company’s latest top-end tablet in the S series with voice calling capabilities exclusively on Flipkart. It was announced at the IFA 2014 back in September and packs a 8-inch (1920 x 1200 pixels) full HD display based on one-glass-solution technology , powered by a quad-core Intel Atom (Z3745) processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 1.6-megapixel front-facing camera. LG G Pad 8.3 Google Play Edition gets Android 5.0 Lollipop update

Android 5.0 Lollipop update has started rolling out to LG G Pad 8.3 Google Play Edition. The tablet had received Android KitKat 4.4 update in June.

As the tablet is a GPE device, the Lollipop update is similar to Google Nexus tablets. As a result of the Android 5.0 update, the LG G Pad 8.3 will receive Material Design user interface elements. It also brings lock screen notifications, a new battery saving mode, and features like Priority Mode and Smart Lock.

The LG G Pad 8.3 GPE edition sports a 8.3 Full HD IPS WUXGA (1920 x 1200 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.7GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 Processor. The Lollipop update is 405 MB  and users can manually check for OTA update. Check out our LG G Pad 8.3 GPE edition tablet review here.

Indian tablet market soars by 10%, almost 1 million units shipped in Q3, 2014: Report

The tablet market in India has reported a strong quarter-on-quarter growth of 10%, according to a latest report from IDC. A total of 0.94 million tablets were shipped in the Q3, 2014 as compared to 0.86 million at a 9 per cent growth over the Q2, 2014.

Google Nexus 9 Benchmarks

Google announced the Nexus 9 tablet made by HTC last month, and it is expected to launch in India soon, starting at Rs. 28,990. We brought you the photo galley and the unboxing of the tablet recently. Here we have the benchmarks of the tablet. The Nexus 9 has is powered by a 64-bit NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor with two Denver CPUs clocked at 2.5GHz per core, rather than the traditional 4+1 Cortex A15 setup. The Kepler GPU has single SMX/GPC design, which amounts to 192 CUDA cores. Even though it has the same Kepler graphics architecture found in its latest generation of PC GPUs such as NVIDIA GeForce Titan, this consumes less than 2W of power. The Nexus 9 has 2GB of RAM and  8.9″ (2048×1536 pixels) IPS display. Check out the synthetic benchmark scores below.
