Jolla Tablet with 7.85-inch 330ppi display announced, starts at $189 on Indiegogo

A day after Nokia introduced its N1 tablet, Jolla has announced the Jolla Tablet with a similar 2048 x 1536 display. Jolla has taken Indiegogo route for crowdfunding to develop the tablet. In terms of specifications, the Jolla tablet has a 7.89-inch (2048 × 1536 pixels) display at 330 ppi, powered by a 1.8GHz quad-core Intel Atom processor and runs on Jolla Sailfish OS 2.0. (SAKRI), a Pune based company has partnered with Microsoft and Intel to launch Windows 8.1 based tablets powered by Intel processors in India, Malaysia and Bangladesh under WINTAB brand. These tablets have 8-inch and 10.1-inch IPS displays at a resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels, powered by a 1.33GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3735D processor and run on Windows 8.1 OS with Bing. Nokia just announced Nokia N1, the company’s first Android tablet through brand-licensing agreement with the OEM partner. It has aluminium unibody build, has a 7.9-inch (2048 × 1536 pixels) display at 326 ppi with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, similar to the Xiaomi Mi Pad, powered by a 64-bit Intel Atom Z3580 processor and runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) with Nokia Z Launcher on the top, but it is not clear if this would have Google Play. Dell has officially launched the new Dell Venue 7 and Venue 8 (3000 series) tablets running Android 4.4 (KitKat) with voice calling capabilities in India. These were announced back in June and went on sale through official Dell website in India last month. The Venue 7 has a 7-inch HD (1280×800) display, powered by a dual-core Intel Atom (Z3460) processor, while the Venue 8 comes with a 8 inch full-HD (1920×1200) display and a dual-core Intel Atom (Z3480). Now the tablet has surfaced on GFXBench database that reveals the specifications of the tablet. Samsung Galaxy S5 and Galaxy S5 LTE receive another price cut in India

Samsung has reduced the price of the Samsung Galaxy S5 and Galaxy S5 LTE smartphones in India once again. The Galaxy S5 got a price cut to Rs. 37,500 few weeks back, now the smartphone is available from the Samsung India eStore for Rs. 34,900. The LTE version of the Galaxy S5 that got a price cut to Rs. 40,300 recently is now available for Rs.36,900. The Galaxy S5 was launched in April in India for Rs. 51,500 and its LTE version was launched in July for Rs. 53,500.
