Xiaomi has launched the MiPad in India, as expected. It was announced last year, packs a 7.9-inch (2048 × 1536 pixels) display at 326 ppi, manufactured by Sharp / AUO and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, is powered by a 2.2 GHz NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor with 192-core Kepler GPU and runs on Android-based MIUI ROM optimized for tablets. It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with 5-element lens, Sony BSI sensor, f/2.0 aperture and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with OmniVision sensor and f/2.0 aperture. Asus has launched the Fonepad 7 (FE171CG) and MeMO Pad 8 (ME581CL) tablets in India. The new Fonepad 7 was unveiled at the CES earlier this year and packs a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) display, is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2520 processor with PowerVR SGX544 GPU, comes with a 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The MeMO Pad 8 (ME581CL) that was announced at the Computex last year has a 8-inch (1200×1920 pixels) IPS display, is powered by a 2.3GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3580 processor, comes with a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera. Huawei MediaPad X2 with 7-inch full HD display, Octa-Core 64-bit SoC, 4G LTE announced
Huawei just announced the MediaPad X2, the company’s latest phablet and the successor of last year’s MediaPad X1 at the Mobile World Congress 2015. It has the same 7-inch (1920 x 1200 pixels) IPS display, but this is powered by a 2.0 GHz Kirin 930 64 bit octa-core processor and runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) with Huawei’s own Emotion UI 3.0 on top.
