Google has updated its News & Weather app to version 2.0 after several years when it was believed to be abandoned. The major update brings new design that now has white everywhere, instead of black. It now shows Google Now-style cards for weather information and news. It also introduces resizable homescreen widgets in 4×1 and 2×3 options. Instagram launches Hyperlapse app for iPhone and iPad to capture time lapse videos

Instagram has launched Hyperlapse, a new app to capture high-quality time lapse videos even while in motion. It uses built-in stabilization technology to capture time lapses when you are just holding the device in your hand. You can choose playback speed between 1x-12x. The app doesn’t require you to create an instagram account.

Spotify for Windows Phone finally goes free

Spotify made its iOS and Android apps free back in December last year that doesn’t require you to buy premium subscription for listening music. Today the company has announced that it has updated its Windows Phone app offering free access to Spotify. This introduces shuffle play that lets you play any artist, album, or playlist in shuffle mode. Gameloft introduced Ninja UP!, a 2D game for iOS last month. The game is now available for Android. The gameplay is similar to the popular to Doodle Jump game, but this needs you to draw new rope every time you want to spring upwards. Longer ropes might make for a safer landing area, but smaller the rope, you can jump higher. You can also draw to sideways, but if you fall the game is over.
