Sony Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact screenshots, specifications surface

Sony unveiled the Xperia Z1 Compact and the Xperia Z2 earlier this year. Now alleged screenshots from the Xperia Z3 and the Xperia Z3 Compact has surfaced online. The Xperia Z3 screenshot shows the model number D6653 and the model number of the Z3 Compact is D58XX (D5833 likely). Both the screenshots confirm Snapdragon 801 MSM8974-AC chipset and run on Android 4.4 KitKat. Alleged Nokia Lumia 830 Images leaked online

Nokia is reportedly working on three Windows Phone 8.1 phones that are due for launch later this year. The three devices are – a high end device with 3D sensors – codename McLaren, mid-range 4.7inch display laden device – codename Superman and a low end device with codename Rock. If rumors from China are to be believed, Nokia is also prepping a successor to the long forgotten Lumia 820 in the form of Lumia 830.

HTC Volantis tablet rumored to feature 8.9″ 2560 x 1600 display and 5GB RAM

Last month’s rumors about the HTC Volantis claimed that it would be Google’s next Nexus tablet. Now @evleaks has revealed details about the tablet and has also posted a macro shot of the tablet. According to @evelaks the earlier leaks that showed the render or concept of the tablet is fake. The tablet is expected to be powered by a 64-bit Tegra K1 SoC and would have aluminum unibody design, that coincides with the earlier leak. LG G3 Prime with Snapdragon 805 UA Profile shows up, passes Bluetooth Certification

LG G3 Prime, an enhanced variant of the LG G3 has been rumored to be in the works for quite sometime now. UA Profile of the LG smartphone with the model number LG-F460L and codenamed Tiger has surfaced online that shows APQ8084, Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 SoC onboard. The LG-F460L that ends in L is expected to head to Korean operator LGU+. The LG-F460S, another variant that is expected to head to SK Telecom (SKT) has passed Bluetooth certification. Microsoft smartband with cross platform support, 11 sensors coming in October: Report

Last month reports surfaced online stating that Microsoft is planning to launch a fitness focused smartwatch. The patent images of a possible smartwatch also gave us an idea of the look of the device. Now, a latest tit bit on the smartwatch is coming from Tom’s Hardware saying that Microsoft Smartband will be launched in October.

Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 specs revealed in benchmarks

Reports about Samsung working on the Galaxy Mega successor had surfaced online few months back. Today, specifications about the phablet has been spotted on GFX Benchmark database. The device which has a model number SM-G7508 boasts of a 5.9 inch screen with 1280 x 720 resolution.

HTC software update roadmap surfaces

HTC One series got Android 4.4 (KitKat) update with Sense 5.5 earlier this year. The HTC One, its dual SIM variant and the HTC One Max got the Sense 6 update few weeks back. Recently HTC ROM developer @LlabTooFeR posted the roadmap of future Android updates for HTC smartphones. Google Play Games reportedly getting quest alerts and snapshots

Google is adding improvements in to Google Play Games with several features, according to Android Police. For starters, Play Games is getting Quest notifications that will alert the player whenever new quests are available, send notifications letting them know a quest has started and also when the quest was completed. Helping developers expand on the use of quests within games is a great move by Google.

Apple’s iWatch to reportedly come in Sports and Designer models

Last week Reuters reported that the iWatch will boast a 2.5 inch screen. Today, another report is suggesting that the iWatch will come in two different models. Pocketnow is stating that the iWatch will come in ‘Sports’ and ‘Designer’ style with former being rectangular with a rubber strap and later being round and stainless steel.
