HTC has finally announced the Butterfly 2 for the Asian markets, after several rumors. It was unveiled for Japan’s KDDI as J Butterfly (HTL23) last month, today the company has officially unveiled the smartphone at an event in Japan. The HTC Butterfly 2 was also announced simultaneously in Taiwan. It has a 5-inch 1080p display, powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with Sense 6 UI. HTC Butterfly 2 new press shots leaked, reveals Waterproof body

HTC unveiled the J Butterfly (HTL23), the company’s latest smartphone with waterproof body few weeks back in Japan. Now the HTC Butterfly 2 for Asia Pacific markets has been leaked by @Upleaks. This was first leaked by @evleaks back in May and looks similar to the new J Butterfly smartphone. It comes with IP57 ratings for dust and water resistance. HTC launched the Butterfly S, successor of the first Butterfly in several countries including India last year. @evleakshas leaked the first press image of the J Butterfly successor codenamed B2.
