Samsung’s 2021 roadmap surfaces: Galaxy Tab S7 Lite, Galaxy A22 5G, Galaxy S21 FE and more expected

Samsung unveiled its Galaxy A52 and A72 smartphones at its Awesome Unpacked event yesterday. Now the roadmap for this year’s Samsung products have surfaced, thanks to @evleaks. This doesn’t have the Galaxy Note series, which the company is not expected to launch this year, but it also doesn’t have the Galaxy Z Fold Lite, Galaxy Z Flip 2 and the Galaxy Z Fold 3 that are rumoured for this year. Apple rumoured to launch new iPad Pro with updated processors in April

Apple is rumoured to have their first launch event of the year sometime during April for the iPad Pro. They are planning to release new iPad Pro models that will feature updated processors, improved cameras, Mini LED displays and possibly Thunderbolt connectivity.

OPPO rumoured to release their first folding phone in Q2 2021

According to a new rumour from China, OPPO is preparing to release their first folding smartphone sometime during the second quarter of 2021. Interestingly, the device will not be a rollable smartphone like the OPPO X 2021 concept phone that they showcased last year, instead it will likely have a ‘regular’ folding design.

Google said to increase Pixel inventory for India this year ahead of rumored Pixel 5a launch on June 11

Google Pixel 5a surfaced in CAD-based renders last month. Now Google has confirmed to ET that it will further increase the Pixel inventory in India this year when it launches the Pixel 5a after the company doubled inventory for Pixel for India last year with the Pixel 4a. Still the phone is facing a huge demand mainly due to the competitive pricing compared to earlier models. HUAWEI P50 Pro with 6.6-inch display, ultra-slim bezels surface in new renders

HUAWEI P50 Pro surfaced in CAD renders back in December that showed the curved display of the phone, thanks to @OnLeaks now more renders of the phone has surfaced that shows the back of the phone which shows a large camera bumps with two large cutouts that is said to house several cameras including the periscope camera. This camera design is similar to the Nova 8 series that was introduced in December. However, we don’t have the camera specifications yet. OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro press images surface; 48MP Sony IMX789 and 50MP IMX766 ultra-wide camera samples teased

Earlier this week OnePlus confirmed that the OnePlus 9 series smartphones will be introduced on March 23rd. Now the press images of both the OnePlus 9 and the OnePlus 9 Pro have surfaced. This shows the OnePlus 9 Pro’s 6.7-inch Quad HD+ (3120 x 1440 pixels) 120Hz curved screen. The phone will use 48MP Sony IMX789 main and a 50MP Sony IMX766 ultra-wide cameras. It also has laser autofocus and two additional cameras, which is said to be 8MP 3.3x telephoto camera with  OV08a10 sensor and a 2MP GC02m1b for depth / macro. It is said to retain the 16MP IMX471 front camera from the predecessor. Apple said to release MR headset for 2022, AR glass in 2025 and AR contact lenses in the 2030s

In a new research note, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has revealed a possible roadmap for Apple’s plans for AR/MR headsets. He predicts that Apple will first launch a helmet type mixed reality headset in 2022, followed by AR glasses in 2025 and finally AR contact lenses in the 2030s.

Reliance Jio said to launch JioBook laptop with Android-based JioOS

Reliance Jio is reportedly planning to enter the laptop market segment, as they are currently developing a product called the JioBook. The laptop was spotted to be running a custom version of Android OS, called JioOS, and is powered by a Qualcomm SoC inside.

Apple said to launch iPad and MacBook models with OLED displays in 2022

Apple is reportedly planning to release updated iPads and MacBook laptops with OLED displays. These OLED devices will go into production by the end of 2021, and likely early next year. They are rumoured to exist alongside their upcoming Macbooks with Mini-LED displays.

OnePlus Nord 2 with Dimensity 1200 SoC said to launch in Q2 2021

OnePlus Nord with Snapdragon 765G was introduced back in July last year. This year around the same time the company is said to introduce the Nord 2 smartphone, but instead of Snapdragon SoC, OnePlus is said to move to MediaTek’s latest flagship Dimensity 1200 6nm SoC that supports ultra-fast 168Hz refresh rates in FHD+.
