It has a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display, is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) OS. Xiaomi has entered into the Guinness Book of World Records for selling 2.11 million phones online in 24 hours during its Mi Fan Fest in China yesterday. The company achieved this feat in just 12 hours. It earned revenue of 2.08 billion yuan (US$335 million approx.) in just 12 hours. It made 170 million yuan from accessories alone. It sold 720,000 units of smart appliances, 247,000 set of Mi Power Strip, 208,000 units of Mi Band, 79,000 units of Mi Wi-Fi and 38,600 sets of Mi TVs. It also sold 403,000 Power banks, 336,000 Mi Piston earphones and 3.12 million units of Mi air purifiers.

LG Innotek, manufacturer of components and materials under LG has introduced its 16-megapixel camera module with an aperture of f/1.8 for the upcoming LG G4 smartphone. Dell has announced Venue 10 7000, the company’s latest tablet in the Venue 10 series. It has a 10.5″ (2560×1600 pixels) AMOLED display, is powered by a Intel Atom Z3580 processor and runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop). The tablet is just 6.2mm thick, has aluminum build and a cylinder on the side, which houses the battery and speakers. HTC has sent invites for its Unveiling Brilliance event on April 14th in India. The invite says “Brace yourselves as we get ready to showcase the most exciting revelation in the history of smartphones”, which makes it clear that it is launching the One M9 smartphone in India. The One M9 that was announced at the MWC last month has unibody build similar to the One M8, but this comes with a faster Snapdragon 810 Octa-Core SoC with 3GB RAM, 20-megapixel rear camera and an UltraPixel front-facing camera.
