It is always great to see a company embracing a newer and better standard of technology that will allow its products to become ‘future-proof’ at least to a certain extent. OnePlus unveiled the OnePlus 2 smartphone yesterday. On the official website, including the OnePlus India website only the FDD-LTE bands were mentioned initially. Now the company has updated the website to add list of TDD-LTE bands. So the OnePlus 2 supports both TDD-LTE Band 40 (2300MHz) and FDD-LTE Band 3 (1800MHz) for India. LG Electronics has reported revenues of 13.99 trillion won (US$ 12.69 billion) in Q2 2015, which is 0.5% down compared to the same quarter last year with operating profit of 244.1 billion won (US$ 222.52 million), down 60% percent from the same period the previous year. Net profit was 226.4 billion won (US$206.38 million) during the quarter, down from 411.8 billion won a year earlier. Samsung has already sent out invites for an Unpacked event on August 13th where it will announce the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. Now, the Wall Street Journal says that the company may also unveil the Gear A smartwatch along the two phones at the same event.
Twitter has announced that it recorded $502 million in revenue for Q2, 2015 up more than 60 percent over this same time last year. Analysts had expected lower revenue of $487.4 million for the company this quarter.

Samsung has announced that it has started mass production of industry’s first 16-megapixel CMOS image sensor (S5K3P3) with 1.0μm-pixel size for high-end smartphones.
