MIUI Global Stable ROM testing program announced for POCO X3 Pro, POCO X3, POCO F3, and more globally

POCO got an independent identity last year, but the company still uses Xiaomi’s proprietary Android skin – MIUI for all its devices. PUBG Lite shuts down officially worldwide

As announced earlier PUBG has shut down the PUBG Lite PC game official yesterday, April 29th, 2021. It said that it was a difficult decision to close service after much deliberation. lite.pubg.com webpage was closed back in March 29th and the player support for LITE will not be available starting from May 29th. Worldwide Tablet shipments grow 55.2% YoY, Chromebook shipments grow 357% YoY in Q1 2021

The Online mode of education has become the norm for many schools and education institutions around the world. As a result, the market for Tablets and Chromebooks have seen massive growth numbers in the past year alone. During Q1, 2021, the worldwide tablet shipments was recorded at 39.9 million units, which calculates to a growth of 55.2% YoY. The Chromebook market recorded a growth too, shipping 13 million units in Q1, 2021.

realme today introduced  the realme Watch 2, the company’s latest smartwatch in Malaysia. It has a 1.4-inch touch color LCD screen with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, 100+ stylish live watch faces with realme Link app. It has 24-hour heart rate monitoring and can also detect blood oxygen level. The smartwatch supports 14 sports mode and will get 90 sports modes via  an OTA update, said the company. Microsoft Store reduces commission for PC games from 30% down to 12%

In a blog post, the Head of Xbox Game Studios, Matt Booty, has announced that the Microsoft Store will soon reduce their commission for in-store purchases to 12%. Microsoft is also working on upgrading the Store in the coming months with more features, and has promised to improve install reliability and download speeds.

Worldwide smartphone market record 345.5 million shipments, 25.5% YoY growth in Q1 2021: IDC

Smartphone vendors shipped nearly 346 million devices during first quarter of 2021, according to preliminary data from the International Data Corporation (IDC) Worldwide Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker. The strong growth came from all regions with the greatest gains coming from China and Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan and China), said the report. As the two largest regions globally, accounting for half of all global shipments, these regions experienced 30% and 28% year-over-year growth, respectively.
