OnePlus India has started teasing the launch of new Nord smartphone on Amazon.in after posting a cryptic teaser on its social channels yesterday which said “something new is coming”. The URL of the image confirms it will be a new Nord phone, but company did not confirm the name officially. However, it could be the OnePlus Nord 2, successor to the OnePlus Nord that was launched last year. The global smartphone is expected to reach record shipments in 2021, with the IDC predicting shipment numbers of nearly 1.38 billion units for the year, growing 7.7% when compared to 2020. The market’s growth is predicted to continue growing in 2022 at 3.8% YoY. Driving this growth is the increasing pace of adoption of 5G capable smartphones as 5G networks begin to deploy around the world.

Xiaomi has reported its earning for the first quarter (Q1 2020) of 2021 that ended March 31, 2021. It reported revenue of 76.9 billion yuan (US$ 12.03 billion), an increase of 54.7% compared to Q1 2020. Adjusted net profit (Non-IFRS Measure) was 6.1 billion yuan, an increase of 163.8% year-over-year. The company said that both the revenue and adjusted net profit reached record highs in the quarter. iQOO introduced it’s mid-range Z3 5G smartphone in China back in March. Now a new report says that the phone will be launched in India in third week of June, within June 15th priced around Rs. 25,000. According to earlier rumours, the phone will be exclusively launched on Amazon.in, after the iQOO 7 series. Even the company has started posting teaser. WhatsApp earlier today filed a lawsuit against the Government of India, seeking to block the regulations saying that traceability of messages would break end-to-end encryption. In reply, the IT ministry said that the Government of India recognises that ‘Right to Privacy’ is a fundamental right and has no intention to violate it when WhatsApp is required to disclose the origin of a particular message. ASUS has announced multiple new updates for their ROG Flow and ROG Zephyrus line of laptops. They feature up to a AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX processor, with up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 GPU. The ROG Flow X13 in particular is a special laptop that comes with support for a detachable eGPU (XG Mobile).
Along with the Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G series, Xiaomi also introduced new RedmiBook Pro 15 and Pro 14 laptops with the latest AMD Ryzen 5000 series processor in China, as it had promised after the Intel version was introduced back in February. The RedmiBook Pro 15 has 3.2k screen with support for 90Hz high refresh-rate, 4.3mm narrow frame and 89.1% screen-to-body ratio, and the RedmiBook Pro 14 has 2.5k screen with 4.3mm narrow frame and 88.2% screen-to-body ratio.
