The International Data Corporation has released their Worldwide Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker report for the second quarter of 2021, revealing that that worldwide smartphone market grew by 13.2% YoY after shipping 313.2 million devices. The top 5 manufacturers worldwide were Samsung, Xiaomi, Apple, OPPO, and Vivo.
Along with the IN 2b smartphone, Micromax also launched its first TWS earbuds – Airfunk 1 and Airfunk 1 Pro. The Airfunk 1 has a unique voice charging feature, that lets you charge to a male or a female voice in the middle of a call in just a tap. The Airfunk 1 Pro has quad microphones for CVC 8.0 noise and echo cancellation during calls. This has Bluetooth 5.2, aptX, uses Qualcomm chipset and has 13mm Dynamic drivers. It has a 6.52-inch HD+ Drop Notch LCD screen with 89% screen-to-body ratio, is powered octa-core UNISOC T610 processor and Mali-G52 GPU paired with 4GB/6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB internal storage. Along with the P50 series, HUAWEI also introduced the HUAWEI Band 6 Pro, successor to HUAWEI Band 6 and the HUAWEI Watch GT 2 Pro ECG, an upgrade to the HUAWEI Watch GT 2 Pro. The Band 6 Pro adds a built-in temperature detection sensor to detect skin temperature and estimated body temperature that shows changes in body temperature, and provides high and low temperature reminders. It has 24-Hour Heart Rate Monitoring, blood oxygen (SpO2) monitoring and 96 workout modes, but it still doesn’t have GPS support. HUAWEI has announced its flagship P50 and P50 Pro smartphones in an online event, as it had promised. The P50 has a flat 6.5-inch FHD+ OLED screen with 90Hz refresh rate and the Pro model has a 6.6-inch FHD+ OLED curved screen with 120Hz refresh rate. Both these have 1.07 billion color display with support 1,440Hz PWM dimming, a punch-hole screen with a 13MP front camera, and the Pro model has a 100-degree field of view and autofocus.
