Social media giant Twitter has reportedly acquired a London-based startup company called Sphere that is known for their group chat app service. The team from Sphere will be joining Twitter and will work on various services within Twitter such as Communities, Direct Messages, and Creators initiatives.

The global PC market continued its strong, albeit slower, growth of 9.3% YoY during the third quarter of 2021, shipping a total of 84.2 million units. The top manufacturers for the quarter were Lenovo, HP, Dell, Apple and ASUS.
HMD Global just launched the Nokia C30, the company’s latest smartphone in the C series in India, after teasing it last week. This comes after the Nokia C20 Plus, which was launched in the country back in August. It packs a 6.82-inch HD+ screen, is powered by Unisoc SC9863A SoC with up to 4GB of RAM, runs Android 11 with two years of quarterly security updates, packs an 13MP rear camera with LED flash along with a 2MP depth sensor and a 5MP front camera. After months of steady growth, the Indian smartphone market has recorded a decline of 5% Year-on-Year (YoY) for the third quarter of 2021. It shipped a total of 47.5 million units during the quarter, and the top 5 manufacturers continued to be Xiaomi, Samsung, vivo realme and OPPO.

Along with the launch of the Pixel 6 devices yesterday, Google also introduced a new subscription service called Pixel Pass. Starting at $45 per month, subscribers of Pixel Pass will be able to avail benefits such as premium Google services, device protection and regular device upgrades.

Yesterday during their Pixel 6 launch event, Google introduced a couple of new updates for their Android Phone app, including two new features called Wait Times and Direct My Call. These two features designed to help when calling businesses, and in addition Google also introduced the ability for users to share information about unknown businesses.
