TAG Heuer to launch Mobile Phones

Fresh on the list of Luxury Good manufacturers, after watches, eye wear, perfumes and clothes is the booming market for Mobile phones.

With more and more luxury accessory houses joining the fray, the Mobile Phone world is likely to get competitive, to the advantage of the user.

With an intention to cash in on this mania, in a release to the Press on 26 November 2007, TAG Heuer, the French watch giant, announced their decision to launch a series of luxury Mobile phones. Philips Xenium Range

Samsung U900 FlipShot from Verizon

Verizon, the American wireless network operator launched the Samsung U900 FlipShot with a two year term contract on 22 November 2007.

The handset has cutting edge features such as 3 mega pixel camera, Camcorder, PictBridge printing, business card scanner, QVGA screen and stereo Bluetooth support. Through Verizon’s supporting network and services, users will be able to their VZ Navigator, V CAST Music and Video.

The camera has a rotating display for optimal viewing while in camera mode for optimal photo capturing comfort.

LG Viewty KU990 to debut in Asia

LG’s high-end five million pixel camera phone with a 3-inch wide touch screen, Viewty (Model: LG-KU990) is all set to make its debut in Asia starting in November.

The first Asian Nations where it will make its presence felt is Hong Kong and Singapore. It will make its Koran debut in mid December. India will follow suit, optimistically by early 2008, although there no reports confirming the same.

Sony Ericsson P1i with BlackBerry Connect v4.0 in India soon

Sony Ericsson P1i, a 3G Touch screen phone will now come pre-loaded with the BlackBerry Connect software v4.0. This announcement was made on 22 November 2007.

The handset will be available in select countries in the Asia Pacific region, including Australia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand.

Samsung U940 prototype released

A prototype of the Samsung U940 was released on 16 November 2007.

The handset is similar to the F700 which is an exclusive Vodafone handset in the UK, with a few changes in features.

This CDMA handset has a 2 mega pixel camera and a vertical slide out QWERTY keyboard. The user interface is not stylus reliant, but will work better with finger touch.
