HTC One S officially launched in India for Rs. 33,590

 

HTC has officially launched the One S in India. It was announced the One S at MWC 2012 and it went on sale in India from online retailers earlier this week. It has 4.3-inch (540×960 pixels) AMOLED display, 1.7 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S3 processor, 8MP auto focus camera with flash, 1080p HD video recording and VGA front-facing. It runs on Android 4.0 ICS with HTC Sense 4 UI. HTC to launch Windows Phone 8-enabled smartphones later this year


HTC has announced that their partnership with Microsoft to launch new devices Windows Phone 8 devices. These new phones would be powered by Qualcomm chips and would probably come with a dual-core processors and have high-resolution displays. Nokia Lumia devices to get SW update on June 27th, Finally getting WiFi tethering

Nokia had announced its intentions to bring support for features like WiFi tethering to its Lumia series of phones a few months back but we haven’t heard anything about it since then. Now the company has finally gone on record and has announced that the update is expected to roll out on 27th June. We’re still not sure if this is the long rumored Tango update.

Microsoft announces Windows Phone 8, Details 8 major features

Microsoft just unveiled the latest version of its mobile operating system. Called Windows Phone 8, it brings sweeping changes to the OS leaving current users out of the party for the most part. We’ll be detailing the features coming to existing phones in a separate post but for now lets take a look at the features to be a part of the next gen OS.

It is made of  exclusive materials such as forged stainless steel frame, hand-wrapped leather back cover, sculpted QWERTY keyboard, and crystal clear touch display and has exclusive Porsche Design UI on top of the latest BlackBerry OS 7. SanDisk has launched Extreme Pro microSDHC UHS-I card in India. These cards would offer up to 90MB/sec write speed for capturing multiple photos using burst mode with a UHS-I enabled mobile device and up to 95MB/sec read speed to move files quickly between host devices. Motorola Razr V with 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, Android 4.0 coming to India in Q3 2012

Motorola launched the Razr Maxx in India and also announced that the Razr V would be available in third quarter of (Q3) 2012. It has 4.3-inch (960×540 pixels) display with scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It has Kevlar back similar to the Motorola Razr and Razr Maxx. It is powered by 1.2GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has 8MP auto-focus camera with flash and VGA front-facing camera. Motorola Razr Maxx launched in India for Rs. 31,590

Motorola has launched the Razr Maxx in India. It went on pre-order from online retailer Infibeam last week but the recommended retail price is much lesser than that. The phone comes with a 3300 mAh battery, which offers up to 17.6 hours of talk-time and 607 hours standby on a single charge. It is 8.99 mm thick and weighs 145 grams. LG launches Quick Voice intelligent voice recognition service for Optimus phones in Korea

LG has launched Quick Voice, their own intelligent voice recognition to compete with Apple’s Siri and Samsung S Voice. This voice recognition app would let the users call contacts, on the address book, set alarm, set appointments on the calendar and open apps. It would also let you open maps to view directions, check weather forecasts, stocks, open YouTube videos and perform web search all using voice commands. Vodafone officially announces new 3G data plans


Vodafone has officially announced its new 3G data plans. Vodafone reduced its 3G tariffs for pre-paid customers last month, but the plans were not clear. Later they announced post-paid 3G plans that were applicable only in select circles. These new plans start from Rs. 25 for 25 MB data usage and go up to Rs. 1599 for 12 GB of data usage. Reliance offers full length movies for 3G subscribers at Rs. 30 per movie

Reliance Communications (RCOM) has partnered with BIGFlix, a part of Reliance Group’s digital entertainment business to offer full length movies to Reliance 3G subscribers at Rs. 30 per movie.
