Karbonn A15 Dual SIM Phone with 4-inch display, Android 4.0 now available for Rs. 5899

Karbonn A15, the company’s new Dual SIM Android Smartphone is now available from online retailer Saholic. It has a 4.0-inch (480 × 800 pixels) TFT capacitive touch screen display and is powered by a 1 GHz processor. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Most of the features are similar to the A11 that was launched last month, but the A15 has just a 3MP Camera with Face Detection instead of a 5MP Auto Focus camera with Flash, and lacks a front-facing camera. Toshiba introduces 13 MP TK437 sensor with enhanced low light shooting capabilities

Toshiba has just announced that it is launching its new CMOS based sensor which will be part of its next generation range of camera sensors. The 13 megapixel TK437 sensor packs in backside illumination which will help low light performance and improve noise reduction. Toshiba has also integrated color noise reduction (CNR) to develop its newest CMOS image sensor that fits into an 8.5mm x 8.5mm size camera module

Blackberry App World to be rebranded as BlackBerry World

Today at BlackBerry Jam Asia , RIM announced that the BlackBerry App World application marketplace would be soon renamed as BlackBerry World as the company is gearing up for the launch of BlackBerry 10 on Jan 30 2013 next year.Martyn Mallick, VP of Global Alliances and Business Development at Research In Motion told us that the rebranding had to be done as the App World was offering a lot more than apps now and offers music, video , magazines and a lot more.

LG Optimus L9 up for pre-order in India for Rs. 19990

LG Optimus L9 that was announced back in August is now available for pre-order from online retailer Flipkart in India for Rs. 19,990. It comes in Black and White colors and is expected to ship in the first week of December. The phone is priced at an MRP of Rs. 22,000 on LG India website. Facebook and Nokia partner for Asha 205 with dedicated Facebook button

Nokia announced Asha 205 and 206 earlier today in India. The Asha 205 is a Dual SIM phone with a 2.4-inch (240 x 320 pixels) 65k color display with QWERTY Keyboard that also has a dedicated Facebook button for one-click access to Facebook features. This would improve the user experience by brings important features including Facebook messages, photos and more. This is the first Nokia device to feature a dedicated Facebook button. Nokia Asha 205 and 206 Dual SIM phones announced


Nokia has announced 2 new Dual SIM phones, Asha 205 and 206 in India. These phones come with a 2.4-inch (240 x 320 pixels) 65k color display, but the Asha 205 has A QWERTY keyboard with Island keyboard that increases readability, tactility and typing. Both these phones have Slam feature to share multimedia content like photos, music and videos with nearby friends instantly. It works on Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones without the need to pair devices, and without the recipient needing to also have Slam (iOS and Windows Phone not supported currently). Samsung Galaxy Note 2 sales surpass 5 million units

Samsung has announced that they have sold over 5 million units of Galaxy Note 2 globally. Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note II at IFA in August and launched it in South Korea and India at the end of September. It took just 2 months for the Note 2 to achieve this feat, compared to 5 months for the first Note. It crossed 3 million units at the end of last month.
