Telstra launches world’s first commercial Gigabit LTE Network in Sydney

Telstra, Ericsson, Qualcomm and NETGEAR has introduced the world’s first commercial Gigabit LTE network and device. Australian operator Telstra confirmed at the Gigabit LTE Experience event in Sydney that their Gigabit LTE service has launched in select state capital city CBDs, with more to follow. This was demoed in Nighthawk M1 Mobile Router (MR1100). Telstra was the first globally to launch 600Mbps download speeds back in September 2015. Dropbox launches Smart Sync for Windows and Mac, note-taking app Paper exits beta

Dropbox has launched Smart Sync feature that allows users to see and access all of their files, whether stored in the cloud or on a local hard drive, from their desktop. The Smart Sync is available for business users.

Few months back there was a report that said Airtel, Vodafone and Idea Cellular were gearing up to launch VoLTE (Voice Over LTE) services to take on Reliance Jio who launched pan-India 4G LTE services with VoLTE (Voice Over LTE) back in September last year. OPPO just launched A57, its latest selfie-focused smartphone with a 16-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and 1.12um pixel size in in India, as it had promised. It was introduced in China back in November last year and packs a 5.2-inch HD display, Octa-Core Snapdragon 435 processor, Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with ColorOS 3.0 and a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF). Fitbit to slash 6% of workforce, 6.4 million devices sold in Q4 2016

Android 7.1.2 beta update released for Pixel, Pixel XL and more, Nexus 6 and 9 won’t get it

Google has started rolling out Android 7.1.2 (Nougat) beta update for several Nexus devices and Pixel devices including Pixel and Pixel XL, Nexus 5X, Nexus Player, and Pixel C devices. The Nexus 6P is also eligible, but it will be released soon.

Razer, global lifestyle brand for gamers has confirmed that it has acquired the majority of the assets of Nextbit Systems Inc. and has brought onboard the management and employees of the company. Financial details of the transaction, which closed earlier this month, were not disclosed. Razer acquired audio company THX last year. Renders of upcoming OPPO Find 9 surfaced last month revealing bezel-less screen on the sides and minimal bezels on top and bottom for the smartphone. Now a new report from China says that the phone will be introduced in March. Earlier report said that the phone will come in two versions, one with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor along with 6GB RAM and 128GB inbuilt storage and a cheaper variant with Snapdragon 653 processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage.
