Asus has finally announced the ZenFone 4 Max, successor of last year’s Zenfone 3 Max in Russia. It packs a 5.5-inch HD 2.5D curved glass display, comes in Snapdragon 425 or Snapdragon 430 versions and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with Zen UI on top. It has 13-megapixel rear camera with a 80-degree lens, PDAF for quick focus in 0.03 seconds and a secondary camera with a 120-degree wide-angle lens for capturing landscape and group shots. Foxconn plans to invest up to $5 billion in India

Foxconn is planning to invest in India, according to a latest report from the Times of India. The Taiwanese contract manufacturer plans to invest up to Rs 32,000 crore ($5 billion) in the country. Foxconn is looking forward for this move as it wants to create a parallel manufacturing hub apart from China. The company is eyeing to scale up India operations in an ‘exponential manner’. Back in May specifications of upcoming Moto X4 surfaced, revealing metal body, dual rear cameras, IP68 ratings for dust and water resistance, Always-on voice and Turbo charging. According to @evleaks the smartphone will be powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 630 Mobile platform and pack a 3000mAh battery, compared to Snapdragon 660 and 3800mAh battery as rumored earlier. ASUS has announced price cuts for their Zenfone 3 and Zenfone 3 Max series of Zenfone smartphones in India. Even though the company did not mention the reason for the price cut, this could be due to GST. The Zenfone 3 5.5-inch has received a huge Rs. 3000 price cut and few other smartphones have received Rs. 2000 price cut. Some of these Zenfone 3 smartphones got VoLTE support earlier this year. Nubia today announced that it will launch a new smartphone in India on July 5th, which will likely be the Nubia N2 that was introduced back in March. The successor of last year’s N1 packs a 5000mAh battery that promises up to 3.2 days of battery life with daily use, has 4GB of RAM and comes with a unibody metal design. This has almost same specifications as the Galaxy Note7 that was discontinued due to battery issue and even uses several components from the Note7, but this has a new, smaller 3,200mAh battery with 8-Point Battery Safety Check and multi-layer safety measures protocol implemented, same as the Galaxy S8 series. Moto India has silently launched the Moto E4 smartphone in the latest Moto E series in India and is also gearing to launch the Moto E4 Plus smartphone in the country soon. According to Mumbai-based retailer Mahesh Telecom, the phone is available from stores at an MRP of Rs. 8999. Both the phones were announced a few weeks back, but India gets the MediaTek version instead of Snapdragon SoC in some countries. Apple iPhone, iPad, Watch, Macs get a price cut in India as GST roll out begins

As the Goods and Services Tax or GST started rolling out in India. Apple today officially slashed the price of all its products iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac and iMac, including its latest iPad Pro and Macs that were introduced last month. Even with 10% of basic customs duty (BCD) imposed on mobile phones that are imported, after GST price of iPhone is still cheaper than before. iPhone has received up Rs. 6,600 price cut, iPad has received price cut by up to Rs. 3,900 and Macbook has received up to Rs. 11,800 price.
