As the Indian government at the Union Budget 2018-19 announced an increase in import duty on mobile phones from 15% to 20% last week, Apple has increased the price of its iPhones, including its iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X smartphones as well as Apple Watch models in the country. This is the second price hike in less than 2 months after a recent price hike in December when the duty was increased from 10% to 15% in the country. Apple has acknowledged that a small percentage of iPhone 7 models are affected by ‘No Service’ issue and has announced a repair program for the models affected by the issue. The company says that the iPhone 7 with models number A1660 manufactured between September 2016 and February 2018 and sold in China, Hong Kong, Japan, Macao, and the U.S are having the issue. Today Amazon.in has started teasing the Red Limited Edition smartphone in India.
