Airtel launches 4G LTE services in Pondicherry

Airtel has launched its 4G LTE services in Pondicherry. It launched 4G services in 296 towns across India last week, after running 4G LTE trails in the country. Airtel said that it had received great response in Chennai, Vellore, Trichy, Madurai and Coimbatore. Airtel 4G is available to customers across mobile phones, dongles, 4G hotspots and Wi-Fi dongles in the city. For existing Airtel customers, the company is offering a complimentary upgrade to Airtel 4G at same price as 3G. Xiaomi has officially launched the Redmi 2 Prime, the company’s latest budget smartphone that is Made in India. This smartphone is manufactured at Xiaomi and Foxconn facility in Andhra Pradesh. This is the enhanced version of the Redmi 2 that was launched in the country earlier this year. It has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Other specifications are similar, including a 4.7-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display, 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 and 4G LTE with support for TD-LTE 2300MHz (Band 40) and FDD-LTE 1800MHz (Band 3) for India.

Xiaomi has just launched its first ‘Make in India’ smartphone dubbed the Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime. The smartphone was briefly listed by Amazon and Flipkart last week revealing all the specifications. Though the Redmi 2 Prime is only a 2GB RAM variant of the original Redmi 2, the highlight of the smartphone is that it has been manufactured in India at Xiaomi and Foxconn facility in Andhra Pradesh.

Now the company has brought back the offer for its customers pre-paid customers as VodafoneDoubles‬ for a limited period. The company has launched the Double Data offer in Mumbai and Kerala circles, but it will roll out for pre-paid subscribers across all its circles in a phased manner. LG has announced price cuts for the festive season in India. The LG G4 that was launched for Rs. 51,000 will be available at a best buy price of Rs. 40,000 for the Ceramic white variant and the Leather back variant will be available for Rs. 45,000. The  LG G4 Stylus that was launched at a price tag of Rs. 24,990 last month is now available for Rs. 21,000. These smartphones are available at even cheaper rates from online retail websites.
