Samsung earlier this week started rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat update for Galaxy Note5 smartphone in India, couple of months after the Nougat update was released for the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge smartphones. The update brings several UX and performance fixes, including improvements to notifications, multi-window mode, always-on display, and enhancements to the system upgrade and app installation process. Indian Railways to set up 500 WiFi kiosks at remote stations under Railwire Saathi

In a bid to  provide connectivity in remote areas, Indian Railways will set up Wi-Fi hotspot kiosks at about 500 stations under a new scheme. Dubbed as Railwire Saathi, the WiFi hotspots will help people access an array of online services, including various government schemes, said a PTI report.

Aadhaar mandatory for mobile connections, re-verification process to be completed within a year

After making Aadhaar compulsory for filing income tax returns and applying for PAN, the government has announced that Aadhaar mandatory for mobile phone connections, following an order of the Supreme Court last month. The Department of Telecom has announced that all telecom operators will have re-verify all existing mobile subscribers (prepaid and postpaid) through Aadhaar based E-KYC process within a year.
