Airtel launched 4G on mobile in Bengaluru based on 2300 MHz TDD-LTE (Band 40) back in February 2014, after rolling out the service for dongles and CPEs in 2012. Followed by Idea, Airtel today announced dropping pre-paid data tariffs. Data benefits have been increased by up to 67%, which in effect is a price reduction. Under the revised data benefits, the Rs. 655 4G/3G monthly recharge pack will now offer 5GB data vs 3GB earlier, an increase of 67% data benefit. Lenovo is all set to launch the Vibe K5 Note in India soon. It is the successor of the Vibe K4 Note that was launched in the country earlier this year. It packs a 5.5-inch 1080p screen and is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P10 SoC. It was announced in China earlier this year, but the intentional variant packs 3GB of RAM and is expected to run Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) out of the box. It packs a 5.7-inch 1080p IPS Quantum display, is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core Snapdragon 430 processor, runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), has a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash.

Today the company has launched the Vibe K4 Note Wooden Edition smartphone with wooden back that has been strengthened with layer of flexible polycarbonate. Other specifications are the same, including a 5.5-inch 1080p display, Octa-Core MT6753 processor, 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, dual SIM support and 4G connectivity.
