Airtel launches 4G LTE services in Chidambaram, Sriperumbudur and Karaikudi

Airtel today announced that it has commercially launched its 4G LTE services in Chidambaram, Sriperumbudur and Karaikudi in Tamilnadu. It was  the first operator to launch 4G in Tamilnadu back in June 2015. Airtel 4G is available to customers across mobile phones, dongles, 4G hotspots and Wi-Fi dongles in the towns. For existing Airtel customers, the company is offering a complimentary upgrade to Airtel 4G at same price as 3G. Google launches free RailWire Wi-Fi in 9 more stations across India

Indian Railways, RailTel and Google launched free WiFi at the Mumbai Central station earlier this year. Today Google announced that RailWire Wi-Fi is now available in 9 more train stations – Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Ernakulam Jn, Kacheguda, Pune, Raipur, Ranchi, Vijayawada and Vishakhapatnam in India. Google said that Mumbai Central’s free Wi-Fi now serves more than 100,000 people every week, and the launch of Wi-Fi in these stations will offer access to over 1.5 million Indians every day.
