LG K7 LTE and K10 LTE ‘Made in India’ smartphones launched for Rs. 9500 and Rs. 13500

LG today launched K7 LTE and K10 LTE smartphones in India with VoLTE (Voice Over LTE) and VoWiFi (Voice Over Wi-Fi) support, as it had promised. These are the first LG smartphones to be made at its Noida plant in India and these were launched launched by telecom and IT minister Ravi Shankar Prasad. LG aims to make 1 million smartphones in its new plant this year. The company said that the VoLTE and VoWiFi features will enable faster transmission of data and voice. Both these smartphones are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon processors, run Android 5.1 (Lollipop), come with dual SIM support, have rear mounted power button and volume rockers and feature a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

HTC Desire 828 dual sim 3GB RAM with 32GB storage variant now available for Rs. 19990

HTC launched the Desire 828 dual sim in India back in December last year. Now the smartphone is available in 3GB RAM with 32GB of internal storage variant, according to Mahesh Telecom. The original version has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Other specifications are the same, including a 5.5-inch 1080p display, Octa-Core MediaTek MT6753 SoC, 13-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), Ultrapixel front-facing camera and 4G LTE support. The Canvas 6 has a metal unibody design and comes with a fingerprint sensor on the back. Both the phones have a 5.5-inch 1080p display, come with a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, PDAF for quick focus, have 4G LTE support and pack a 3000mAh battery. The Canvas 6 Pro is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek Helio X10 processor.

HTC 10 (Lifestyle) comes with Snapdragon 652 and 3GB RAM in India [Update]

[Update:  HTC’s global online communications manager Jeff Gordon says that India will get the Snapdragon 820-powered HTC 10 and not the HTC 10 Lifestyle. The official website has also been updated.]

HTC just announced its flagship HTC 10 smartphone with a 5.2-inch Quad HD 2.5D curved glass display, Snapdragon 820 SoC and 4GB of RAM. But the Indian variant is called the HTC 10 Lifestyle, is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 652 SoC and 3GB of RAM. Russia is also getting the same variant. It is not clear why HTC is launching a different variant in some markets. Hope this one will be cheaper compared to the Snapdragon 820 version.
