Vivo just launched the V7 smartphone in India, as it had promised. It packs a  5.7-inch (1440 x 720 pixels) FullView display with 18:9 aspect ratio, narrow bezels and 83.6% screen-to-body ratio, compared to the 5.99-inch FullView display on the V7+. It has the same 24-megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash, Face Beauty 7.0, Face unlock and Portrait mode and a 16-megapixel rear camera with phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF) and LED flash. Later it launched the  Celkon Smart 4G at an effective price of Rs. 1349. Now it has launched two more Karbonn 4G VoLTE smartphones – Karbonn A1 Indian with support for 22 Indian languages and A41 Power with a 2300mAh battery

OnePlus just introduced its flagship OnePlus 5T smartphone at an event in  Brooklyn, New York as it had promised. It has a 6.01-inch Full HD+ Optic AMOLED Display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, 80.5% screen-to-body ratio and with DCI-P3 color coverage, compared to the 5.5-inch 1080p screen on the OnePlus 5 , but body is almost same. Since it has a large screen, it doesn’t have a home button and ceramic fingerprint sensor has been moved to the back to unlock the phone in 0.2 seconds. Sony today a7R III (ILCE-7RM3), the company’s latest camera in the mirrorless camera lineup in India. It was announced last month and is the successor of a7R II that was introduced back in 2015. It has a 42.4 MP back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS image sensor with shooting speeds at up to 10 fps with full AF/AE tracking, 4K video recording, wide 15-stop dynamic range, high sensitivity with noise reduction of almost a full stop and more. Xiaomi catches up with Samsung to become India’s top smartphone vendor in Q3 2017: IDC

A total of 39 million smartphones were shipped to India in Q3 2017, which is a new record with substantial 40% Quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) growth and a healthy 21% Year-on-year (YoY) growth, according to the latest International Data Corporation’s (IDC) Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker. India smartphone shipments accounted for 10% of the global smartphone shipments for the first time ever in a quarter. Xiaomi already said that it has shipped 9.2 million phones in the quarter, now IDC reveals that it has 23.5% market share for the quarter, same as Samsung.
