Google has launched Asus Chromebox for meetings in India, along with new Chromebooks. This is aimed at organizations that lets them run and manage high-definition video meetings for any conference room. It brings together the usability of Google+ Hangouts and collaboration of Google Apps for Business to an easy to manage Chromebox, said the company.

Google has launched Xolo Chromebook and Nexian Air Chromebook in India. Both these have a 11.6″ (1366 x 768 pixels) IPS display and are powered by a 1.8 GHz Rockchip 3288 Quad-core processor based on ARM Cortex-A17 CPU and has ARM Mali-T764 GPU. These have 2GB DDR3 RAM and 16GB of internal storage with expansion slot. The Nexian Air Chromebook has rugged splash-proof design.

Microsoft has launched the Lumia 540 Dual SIM in India, as we expected. It was announced last month and packs a 5-inch HD display, is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor and runs on Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Denim. It has a 8-megapixel auto focus camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with wide angle lens.

Rdio first launched in India back in January this year. Today it has launched a new Rdio Select service that lets you listen to endless stations without ads or skip limits and also download 25 songs per month that can be replaced once per day at Rs. 60 per month. The same plan costs $3.99 in the US. Rdio also offers Rdio Unlimited plan that offers unlimited downloads and option to stream any song without ads at Rs. 119 per month. After earlier reports, Airtel has officially launched its 4G LTE trails in Chennai. It is based on 1800MHz FDD-LTE band 3, which the company acquired last year. Chennai becomes the first city in the country to get the Airtel’s FDD-LTE service. It currently offers TDD-LTE services in Pune, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Chandigarh and Amritsar. It is currently offering complimentary upgrade to Airtel 4G at same price as 3G. Today the company has announced on its social channels it will finally be coming to in India on May 18th. The new teaser says Are you ok? 5.18 See! See! We’ve heard you and here is the date. #0518 – J. Wong, a message from Meizu’s founder Jack Wong. Meizu has not revealed which smartphone it will launch in India first.
