Motorola has finally started rolling out Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) update for the 2015 Moto G (3rd gen) (XT1550) in India, a week after it announced the update for the smartphone. It started rolling out the update in U.S and Canada last month. Motorola rolled out Android Marshmallow update for the Moto X Style in India back in November last year and the Moto X Play got the update earlier this week. Vodafone has launched its 4G LTE services in Mysore (Mysuru), Karnataka after a month of launching its 4G services in Kerala. It is based on 1800MHz FDD-LTE band 3, which the company acquired last year. “It is built on a strong fibre back-haul, and is supported by new and superfast 3G services on a modern network of 2100 MHz,” said the company. HTC has launched the Desire 728 dual sim, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone in India. It was introduced in China back in September last year, packs a 5.5-inch HD screen, is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek MT6753 64-bit processor and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with HTC’s own Sense UI on top. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It has dual front-facing BoomSound speakers and Dolby Audio. Garmin India has launched Forerunner 235 and Forerunner 230, two new GPS Running Watches with smart features. These have activity tracking to track the distance, pace, time, and more throughout the day and can also monitor your sleep. The Forerunner 235 has wrist-based heart rate sensor that tracks your heart rate 24/7. Both these offer notifications such as incoming email, text messages, call alerts, calendar reminders and more when connected to a smartphone. OnePlus introduced the OnePlus X in Onyx glass back and limited edition Ceramic variants back in October. The OnePlus X Onyx edition priced at Rs. 16,999 went on sale in India and several countries with an invite back in November. Huawei has sent out press invites for the launch of Honor 5X smartphone on January 28th. It is the successor of one of the most popular Honor 4X smartphone that was launched in India last year. The teaser image shows the smartphone’s unibody metal build, rear camera sensor and the fingerprint sensor below the camera. Yesterday ASUS said that the camera-centric ZenFone Zoom smartphone will launch in the US next month and also said that it will be launched in India later this month, before the US launch. Today the company has sent out invites for the launch even that is scheduled on January 22nd and 23rd in Agra. It is based on 1800MHz FDD-LTE band 3, which the company acquired last year. Its 4G service in Kozhikode is built over fibre backhaul, and is supported by its 3G services on a network of 2100 MHz.
