LG had already announced its plans to launch Spirit LTE and G4 Stylus 4G smartphones with VoLTE (Voice Over LTE) and VoWiFi (Voice Over Wi-Fi) support in India in partnership with Reliance Retail. Airtel today launched Wynk Games, it latest OTT app for Android users. It has over 2,000 games across genres such as sports, racing adventure, kids and puzzles, including premium and paid titles at no additional cost. “Wynk Games, bundled with Airtel data packs aims to similarly stimulate consumption of this category. Aimed at providing a comprehensive range of ‘Wynk Games’, Airtel has tied up with Playphone Inc., a GungHo Subsidiaria and Softbank group company based in San Mateo, California. This alliance presents exciting opportunities for Indian developers as well,” said Airtel.

iBall has officially launched the Andi 5.5H Weber smartphone. It went on sale earlier this month, packs a 5.5-inch HD screen, is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop). It has a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash that is enhanced to 8-megapixel using software and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Xolo has launched One HD, the company’s latest smartphone in the ‘One’ series. It has a 5-inch HD display, is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6580M SoC and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop). It has 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and also has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash for capturing better selfies even in low lighting conditions. It has dual SIM support, but it has only 3G connectivity and lacks 4G LTE support.
Asus launched the Zenfone Go, a budget smartphone in India back in September. Today the company has launched a smaller variant called Zenfone Go 4.5 with a 4.5-inch FWVGA screen and 1GB of RAM. It is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6580 SoC, has 3G support and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop), similar to the original Zenfone Go, but this has a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera. Huawei has finally released the beta version of Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) update for the Honor 7 users in India. This update is available for only those who register for the OTA (over the air) using the Google Drive forum here with their current software version and IMEI. The company says that it will verify the information and will start pushing the OTA update for the users after 24 to 48 hours of submission. Letv, one of the popular smartphone makers in China is all set to enter the Indian market next month with the launch of the Le Max smartphone. Today at its preview event in Bangalore it confirmed that the Le Max smartphone will launch in the country sometime mid-January 2016. The company recently scheduled a preview event in Delhi on January 5th where it will showcase the Le Max smartphone.
Lenovo just confirmed on its social channels that the upcoming K4 Note smartphone will come with a fingerprint sensor on the back. Airtel has launched three new data plans with unrestricted / unlimited validity for its prepaid customers. “This is a first-of-its-kind innovation in India’s prepaid mobile that breaks away from the conventional validity expiry model and offers early data users the flexibility of consuming internet services without worrying about expiry of the validity period – thus delivering maximum value,” said the company. Idea Cellular, today launched its 4G LTE services across five states in South India – Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Telangana. In the first phase it will be available across 75 Towns in Southern India, which includes Kochi, Hosur, Kadapa, Malapuram, Madurai, Mysore, Rajahmundry, Tiruchirappalli, Tirunelveli, Tiruppur, Vijayawada and Vishakhapatnam, while Belgaum, Calicut, Cuddalore, Chitradurga, Guntur, Kakinada, Kancheepuram and Trichur will follow by 31st December 2015, said Idea.
