LG had already announced its plans to launch Spirit LTE and G4 Stylus 4G smartphones with VoLTE (Voice Over LTE) and VoWiFi (Voice Over Wi-Fi) support in India in partnership with Reliance Retail. Now the company has launched the Spirit 4G LTE (LG-442) smartphone in the country. The company said that the new VoLTE and VoWiFi features will enable faster transmission of data and voice. Airtel today launched Wynk Games, it latest OTT app for Android users. It has over 2,000 games across genres such as sports, racing adventure, kids and puzzles, including premium and paid titles at no additional cost. “Wynk Games, bundled with Airtel data packs aims to similarly stimulate consumption of this category. Aimed at providing a comprehensive range of ‘Wynk Games’, Airtel has tied up with Playphone Inc., a GungHo Subsidiaria and Softbank  group company based in San Mateo, California. This alliance presents exciting opportunities for Indian developers as well,” said Airtel.

Xolo has launched One HD, the company’s latest smartphone in the ‘One’ series. It has a 5-inch HD display, is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6580M SoC and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop). It has 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and also has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash for capturing better selfies even in low lighting conditions. It has dual SIM support, but it has only 3G connectivity and lacks 4G LTE support.

Huawei Honor 7 gets Android 6.0 Marshmallow beta update in India

Huawei has finally released the beta version of Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) update for the Honor 7 users in India. This update is available for only those who register for the OTA (over the air) using the Google Drive forum here with their current software version and IMEI. The company says that it will verify the information and will start pushing the OTA update for the users after 24 to 48 hours of submission. Idea Cellular, today launched its 4G LTE services across five states in South India – Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Telangana. In the first phase it will be available across 75 Towns in Southern India, which includes Kochi, Hosur, Kadapa, Malapuram, Madurai, Mysore, Rajahmundry, Tiruchirappalli, Tirunelveli, Tiruppur, Vijayawada and Vishakhapatnam, while Belgaum, Calicut, Cuddalore, Chitradurga, Guntur, Kakinada, Kancheepuram and Trichur will follow by 31st December 2015, said Idea.
