Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 launching in India on February 14 exclusively on Flipkart

Earlier this week Xiaomi sent out invites for an event on February 14th, where it is expected to launch the Redmi 5 or Redmi Note 5 smartphone. Today Flipkart has confirmed that it will launch exclusively with them. Last year’s Redmi Note 4 was launched exclusively on Flipkart, and in a new tweet Flipkart has tagged Gaurav Kapur and said “Looks like everyone is excited about @XiaomiIndia’s all-rounder that’s a 5/5”, with similar “all-rounder” tag as Redmi Note 4 that was launched by Ravindra Jadeja, so we can expected the Redmi Note 5 to launch next week. Vodafone launches VoLTE services in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai and Gujarat

Vodafone has launched VoLTE (Voice Over LTE) services in India in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai and Gujarat (Surat and Ahmedabad), as the company had promised, after testing it recently. Vodafone is calling it Super VoLTE and said that the technology delivers high-quality sound over voice calls across the Vodafone SuperNet 4G network so that users will experience ultra-clear voice quality and reduced background noise. Panasonic P100 with 5-inch HD display, fingerprint sensor launched in India starting at Rs. 5299

Panasonic today launched P100, the company’s latest budget smartphone in India. It has a 5-inch 2.5D curved glass screen with Corning Gorilla Glass protection, is powered by a quad-core MediaTek SoC with 1GB/2GB RAM depending on the model, runs Android 7.0 (Nougat), has an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, both with LED flash. Honor 7X coming to offline stores in India, Red Limited Edition goes on sale on Amazon from Feb 9

Huawei’s Honor brand recently said that the Honor7X is now made in India and the company in partnership with Flex has started manufacturing the phone at Flex’s plant in Sriperumbudur, near Chennai. Today the company has announced that the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version of the smartphone will be available across Honor partner stores pan India starting from February 9th at the same online price of Rs. 15,999.

UC Browser 12.0 for Android launched officially, clocks 130 million monthly active users in India

At an event UCWeb today officially released UC Browser 12, especially for the India market. This supports faster video content consumption on mobile, which now consumes 50% less data and buffers with zero time lag. The company has also announced that UC Browser has crossed 130 Million Monthly Active Users (MAUs) in India as of January 2018. It also says that it is leading with market share of over 43% as per StatCounter, and is the sixth-most downloaded app in India. Tecno Camon i Air with 5.65-inch FullView display, fingerprint sensor launched in India for Rs. 7999

After the Camon i that was launched last month, China-based Transsion Holdings’ TECNO Mobile today launched Tecno Camon i Air, the company’s latest smartphone in India. It has a 5.65-inch HD+ 18:9 FullView display, is powered by quad-core MediaTek processor and runs on Android 7.0 (Nougat) with the company’s own HiOS on top along with a 13-megapixel  rear camera with  quad-LED flash, similar to the Camon i, but this has a 8-megapixel front-facing camera instead of a 13-megapixel camera. HTC U11+ with 6-inch QHD+ display, Snapdragon 835, 6GB RAM launched in India for Rs. 56990

HTC today launched the  U11+, the company’s latest flagship smartphone in the ‘U series’ in India. It was announced  back in November last year and comes with a 6-inch Quad HD+ 18:9 Full Screen display with 82% screen-to-body ratio and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 coupled with 6GB of RAM. Like the original U11, it comes with Edge Sense technology.
