comScore Inc. announced the launch of Device Essentials which is a new service that reports digital traffic as per devices ranging from computers and mobile phones to e-readers and gaming devices. Using this service, analysis traffic pattern from different devices was made in thirteen different countries including India, which showed that 7.4% of traffic comes from iOS devices while Android follows with 6.5% 
Looks like Apple is just heating up the mobile phone war in India. After launching the iPhone 4 in India recently , it has now launched the 8GB version of the iPhone 3GS in the country. BGR is reporting that the 3GS has been launched for Rs.19990. Apple has always been blamed for making the iPhone a costly affair in India and look like all that is going to change. The price of the 8GB 3GS iPhone might send a shiver down the spine of Nokia and Samsung who pretty much dominate the category.

This lets 33 lakh plus customers in Assam enjoy Airtel 3G services such as, faster internet, video streaming, video calling, Mobile TV and high definition gaming. BlackBerry maker Research in Motion today launched the much awaited BlackBerry Tablet – PlayBook at an event in Mumbai today. The 7-inch PlayBook is powered by a 1GHz Dual Core processor and packs 1 GB of RAM. It runs on QNX which makes the BlackBerry PlayBook really snappy. The Multitasking on the PlayBook is the best we have even seen on a Tablet. The Browser and Multimedia capabilities are pretty awesome too. Apple is currently being investigated by the Competition Commission of India after a customer complained to the organization under Section 4 of the Competition Act 2002.
