iberry launched the Auxus Nuclea N2 smartphone, successor of the Nuclea N1 back in January. The Nuclea N2 is one of the first smartphones to launch in India with an octa-core processor and a full HD display. We had already seen quite a few phablets with full HD screens last year, but most had a quad-core MediaTek MT6589T chip. Flipkart teases Moto X launch day offers, to reveal details in a couple of days

Motorola had revealed its plans to introduce the Moto X in India, during the Mobile World Congress event, and it also had said that, much like the Moto G, the X too will be launched through Flipkart. As a confirmation, Flipkart has now started to tease the Moto X launch on Twitter, adding that there will be exclusive launch day offers and that the launch details will be revealed in a couple of days. With the success of Moto G, Flipkart goes ahead with yet another exclusive launch, but this time, the reception might not be as overwhelming. This is mainly because the phone is already late to the market, and its initial pricing in the US was off the mark, making a really capable device flop in the market. But now that the prices have come down drastically, it will be interesting to see how well it is priced for the Indian market.

Wickedleak launched Wammy Passion X, the company’s first water resistant smartphone last month at a price tag of Rs. 22,499. It has decided to cut the price of the smartphone to Rs. 18,500, just couple of weeks after the launch. Gionee, one of the popular Chinese smartphone manufacturers launched the Elife E7 in India at the end of last year. It went on sale across India recently. The company’s latest flagship smartphone in the Elife series features a 5.5-inch full HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera. It starts at Rs. 26,999, bit higher than their predecessor, the Gionee Elife E6, but it is cheaper when compared to other smartphones in similar range. Without any doubt the Indian smartphone market is booming and everybody wants to get their hands on this smartphone market. Flipkart, currently India’s leading eCommerce giant, has been at the center of this explosion, but only as a retailer. They have witnessed Micromax, a local manufacturer, beat Nokia, Sony, LG, HTC to become India’s second largest smartphone seller.
