Gionee unveiled the Elife E7, the company’s first Snapdragon 800-powered smartphone in India few months back. It went on sale in India recently, starting at Rs. 26,999. We already brought you the unboxing of the device, here we have the benchmarks of the smartphone. It is powered by quad-core Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974) 28nm HPm Krait 400 CPU clocked at 2.15 GHz with Adreno 330 GPU. It has a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS with Amigo UI on top. Let’s check out the performance in a range of synthetic benchmark tests. AOC launches 21.5-inch and 23.6-inch multi-touch monitors in India for Rs. 24990 and Rs. 28990

AOC India has launched two new multi-touch Full HD monitors for PCs. The i2272PWHUT (21.5”) and i2472PWHUT (23.6”) WLED-backlit monitors have 1920×1080 pixel resolution IPS screen with 178-degree wide viewing angles and 10-point multi-touch input. These have adjustable stand offers 60 degree lean back experience, has built-in speakers, microphone and a 720p HD webcam for video conferencing. These are also Windows 8 certified. MTS launches Super Unlimited MBlaze data plans starting at Rs. 999

Sistema Shyam TeleServices Limited (SSTL) that provides telecom services under MTS brand has launched new Super Unlimited data plans for high usage MBlaze customers in India. This is available for new post-paid and pre-paid customers. It provides at least 300% more value than plans offered by competition, says the company. Motorola Moto X coming to Flipkart starting at Rs. 23,999 from March 19th

Motorola Moto X is a phone that has been hard to find outside the States, but things are changing soon. Motorola launched the budget range Moto G in India last month exclusively via Flipkart and it went on to become its most sold smartphone ever. After the hugely successful Moto G launch, Flipkart teased that they were the exclusively bringing in another Motorola device – Motorola Moto X. After a week of teasing, Flipkart has finally announced via their Twitter account that the Motorola Moto X would go on sale on March 19 and will be available for Rs. 23,999.

Reliance Jio ties up with Viom Networks to share telecom tower infrastructure

Reliance Jio Infocomm, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has entered into a pan-India tower infrastructure sharing agreement with Viom Networks, a joint venture of Tata Teleservices and SREI Infrastructure to use the latter’s telecom infrastructure with a footprint of over 42,000 telecom towers for their 4G roll out. Viom Networks is India’s largest independent telecommunications infrastructure company. Micromax launched the Micromax Canvas Knight A350, the company latest flagship smartphone and the successor of the Canvas Turbo few weeks back . We already brought you the photo gallery and the unboxing of device. Here we have the benchmarks of the smartphone. It is powered by a Octa-Core MediaTek MT6592 processor which as 8 ARM Cortex-A7 CPUs, each clocked at 2 GHz, faster than the Auqa Octa and the iberry Auxus Nuclea N2, that were clocked at 1.66 GHz. It has a Mali 450-MP4 GPU. It comes with a 5-inch 1080p display, 2GB RAM and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). The Octa-Core chip comes with Heterogeneous Multi-Processing (HMP), where all the core can be turned ON at the same time. Check out the synthetic benchmark results below.

Rdio acquires Dhingana, to launch in India later this year

Rdio, popular digital music service has announced they would to acquire Dhingana, one of India’s popular online music streaming service, that stopped the service recently. Dhingana’s team in India would be joining Rdio to extend their musical catalog, that has over 1 million songs in 42 languages and Indian genres. Dhingana founders Snehal Shinde and Swapnil Shinde will join the executive team at Rdio, to expand the service to India as well as other emerging markets.
