Nokia E7: Does It Compete With The N8 Or The HTC Desire Z?

In many of my posts about the Nokia E7, ever since I received my trial unit, I kept saying that “I don’t get it”. I don’t understand the purpose of the E7 or who will buy it or for what reason. The rationale behind my thought was that in terms of Symbian competition, the Nokia N8 offers a much more complete package, while in terms of QWERTY/Business competition, there are plenty of better options with Android on board.

However, saying something is not like proving it in an objective comparison of specs, so given that I have an N8, E7 and HTC Desire Z in my hands, I set out to take some pictures of all of them for you, and to do a specifications comparison table.

LG Optimus Big leaked !

Just5 CP11 Review

Last month at the Mobile World Congress we got to check out a wide variety of cellphones. With the latest cutting edge specifications , these devices are no longer just phones. Indeed smartphones have become an integral part of life to check on emails , keep a tab on appointments , to consume media and even produce it. In the midst of all this innovation was one product which completely stood out. It lacked a high end camera , did not play music , didn’t even have a user editable calendar. What it did have however was the promise of ease of use for the technologically challenged. BlackBerry Curve 8520 Price Drops to Rs.9990

Looks like BlackBerry wants to be part of the sub-Rs.10000($220) segment in India as the price of the most affordable BlackBerry – the Curve 8520 has dropped to Rs.9990. The device was earlier available for Rs.11-12,000. The handset also comes with a 18 month warranty while most brands offer only 12 months. Hits and Misses – The Nokia E7

The Nokia E7. Nokia’s answer to its loyal Fans who were waiting for a worthy successor of the Communicator. It’s also the answer to all QWERTY fans, finally wanting to get rid of their horrendous N97s. Announced at last year’s Nokia World in London, Nokia has set out to please fans from both camps. I have decided to gather my thoughts on the Nokia E7 in something called Hits and Misses – I will look at certain details of the Nokia E7 and either give it a plus or a minus – a hit or a miss. So what is an absolute hit for me? And where is Nokia missing something? Read on to find out what grinds my gears.

Google Nexus S India Launch April 1st Week for Rs.27999?

Online retailer FlipKart has started taking Pre-orders for the Google Nexus S made by Samsung. The asking price for the device is Rs.27999 which is higher than the current price of the Galaxy S i9000.The Nexus S is currently the only Android phone in the market that comes with stock Gingerbread (Android 2.3) . The expected launch date is April 1st week.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Photos NEW Design !

Samsung has managed to change the design of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 after MWC. Looks like the company was not happy to release a tablet thicker than the Apple iPad 2 to the market. So what did they do ? They felt that the Galaxy Tab 10.1 was inadequate to take on the iPad 2 and they did not stop there. They went and redesigned the whole thing so that it is only 8.6 mm thick and weighs 595g. The earlier model was 10.9mm thick and weighed 599 g. Did Samsung just surprise Apple  ? T-Mobile has officially announced the G2X at CTIA. The G2X is the same handset which is also known as the LG Optimus 2X in Korea and LG optimus Speed in Europe. It might be only the 2nd Dual-core phone to be launched in USA after the Motorola Atrix 4G

Nokia Astound is the C7 for T-Mobile

Nokia was expected to launch a Symbian handset for USA at CTIA and they have announced the Nokia Astound – a T-Mobile branded C7 . The Symbian^3 device will be available exclusively on T-Mobile (soon to be AT&T ) starting from April 6.  The Astound seems identical in specs to the C7 including the 3.5 inch AMOLED display , stylish design , 8MP EDoF Camera with 720p video recording. Sprint Announces The Google Nexus S 4G With Google Voice Integration

Sprint announced the new variant of the latest Google phone, the Nexus S 4G. It is the first handset to feature the Android Gingerbread OS along with the 4G connectivity.

Last year, Google and Samsung launched the much-awaited Google Nexus S. This handset is the successor of the popular Nexus One smartphone and it runs on the latest Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) operating system.
