Xiaomi Mi Band 3 with 0.78-inch OLED display, 50-meter water resistance announced

Xiaomi has finally announced the most expected Mi Band 3 at the Mi 8 event in China, as it had promised. It has a 0.78-inch OLED display, compared to 0.42-inch in the Mi Band 2 so that it can display more characters including WhatsApp, Facebook or SMS messages, Weather info, caller ID and more. It also 5ATM water proof so that you can take it for swimming under 50 meters.

Chinese smartphone maker iVOOMi has launched FitMe, a fitness band that has option to indicate Air Quality Index (AQI) or pollution, which tells you how clean or unhealthy the air around you is, so that you can take necessary steps to prevent the associated health hazards. This feature provides information on AQI across all Indian cities. The FitMe Health Band also provides information about the weather conditions. Garmin just launched vivofit 4 fitness tracker, successor of last year’s vivofit 3. It was introduced at the CES 2018, has an always-on color display for the first time in the vivofit series, comes with one-year battery life and the Move IQ captures different activities, such as walking, running, biking, swimming and using an elliptical, to view on Garmin Connect.

Huawei’s Honor brand  launched Honor Band A2 in India. It was introduced in China back in May last year, has a 0.96-inch OLED touch display and heart rate sensor with continuous heart rate tracking during fitness activities. In addition to fitness, it also has sleep tracking that offers suggestions based on the sleep data to help improve their sleep quality. Xiaomi Mi Band HRX Edition Review

A year after launching the Mi Band 2 in the country, Xiaomi launched the Mi Band HRX Edition in India in partnership with HRX by Hrithik Roshan back in September. This has the same  OLED display and a similar design, but doesn’t have a heart rate sensor. I have been using it for over a couple of months now. Samsung Gear Fit 2 Pro and Gear Sport launched in India for Rs. 13590 and Rs. 22990

Samsung just launched the Gear Fit2 Pro fitness tracker with a new watch-style clasp and the Gear Sport smartwatch in India. Both these were introduced at the IFA 2017. The Gear Fit2 Pro has a 1.5-inch Curved Super AMOLED screen and built-in GPS and runs Tizen OS, similar to the predecessor The Gear Sport has a 1.2-inch Circular Super AMOLED Always On display and comes with GPS, Heart rate sensor and NFC for Samsung Pay. It has easily changeable standard 20mm straps.
