Xolo launched the Q1100, the company’s first phone in the Q CORE series powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor last month priced at Rs. 14,999. We brought you the unboxing and benchmarks of the device earlier this week, here we have the camera samples from the phone. It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with BSI 2 Sensor and LED flash. It also has a 2-megapixel front-facing camera that is capable of recording videos at 720p HD resolution.
We just reviewed the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact a couple of days back, and saw the official launch of it happen in India yesterday, with it priced at Rs. 36,990/-. The phone carries forward almost all the USPs of its bigger brother, the Xperia Z1 and one of the constants is the Sony EXMOR RS 20.7 MP sensor. Intex launched the Aqua Octa, India’s first MediaTek Octa-Core powered smartphone last month. We already brought you the unboxing, benchmarks and the photo gallery of the Aqua Octa. Here are the camera samples. It has a 13-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED Flash and full HD video recording, but the 5-megapixel front-facing camera can record videos only at VGA resolution. Nokia Lumia 1320 was announced as one of the two phablets that Nokia unveiled at their Abu Dhabi event in 2013. Nokia Lumia 1320 comes with mid-range specifications and has a 6inch display sporting a HD resolution of 1280×720 pixels. Apart from the mid-range specifications, it comes with a 5MP camera and LED flash. There is a front facing VGA camera for video calls. The Nokia Lumia 1320 can record 1080p videos at 30fps.

The Nokia Lumia 525, a newly launched device that we unboxed recently, has been known to be a slightly upgraded variant of the Lumia 520. It carries almost exactly the same spec sheet and hardware except for the RAM, which has been upped to 1 GB for obvious reasons. With an incredibly small change in hardware, one would expect everything else to remain the same. But that is not the case with the 525, because it comes with Lumia Black firmware update out of the box, which brings some algorithm-level changes to the already robust camera interface, the Nokia Camera. Xolo just launched their Xolo Q3000 and it is their latest flagship device. The Xolo Q3000 is a huge device and has a 5.7inch Full HD 1080p display. With a quad-core MediaTek MT6589T processor under the hood, it joins the league of MediaTek powered Full HD smartphones in the mid-range segment. The Xolo Q3000 is a solidly build device, but is just too big for most people. Like most phones that it competes with, it comes with a 13MP camera on the back and a 5MP camera on the front.
At the Abu Dhabi event earlier this year, Nokia announced their first phablet – Nokia Lumia 1520. The Nokia Lumia 1520 is the first in various aspects – first Windows Phone phablet, first Windows Phone to sport a Full HD 1080p display and the first Windows Phone device to run on a Snapdragon 800 SoC. The specialty about the Lumia 1520 is that it retains the goodness of a PureView camera from the Nokia Lumia 1020. Though it doesn’t have the huge 41MP sensor like the one on Lumia 1020 or Nokia 808, it comes with a little modest 20MP PureView camera that comes with a similar over-sampling algorithm.
Xolo A600 is a budget Android smartphone from Xolo and comes with budget specifications. Xolo A600 is powered by a new dual-core mid-range processor from MediaTek and has a 4.5inch qHD display. Like most budget Android smartphones, the Xolo A600 comes with a dual-SIM support. The camera on the Xolo A600 is slightly a disappointment as we have only a 5MP sensor at the back and a 0.3MP front facing camera.
The trend of the Indian manufacturers to launch 5.5inch+ smartphones had begun sometime back and Xolo is the latest to join the bandwagon. Xolo Q2000 is a 5.5inch HD smartphone that has all the makings of a typical mid-range Indian phablet(the market which seems to have no end). In terms of specifications, it is nothing ahead or behind the other budget phablets as it is powered by the same 1.2GHz quad-core processor MT6589, 1GB RAM and comes with a 5.5inch HD display.
Samsung Galaxy S Duos was very popular phone in 2012 and at the end of 2013, Samsung have announced a successor – Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2. Galaxy S Duos 2 takes up the job of being a budget smartphone and at the same time, providing Samsung’s TouchWiz UI along with average specifications. The camera on Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 has not changed and it still has the same 5MP sensor. However, thanks to an updated processor, Galaxy S Duos 2 is capable of recording 720p videos.
The Oppo N1 is all set to be globally available starting December 10th, which is just 5 days away but as you might have known by now, we have been playing around with the device for some time now. One of the highlights of this phone is its camera, which is a 13 MP unit sitting on a swiveling unit. The Sony EXMOR RS 13 MP sensor is a 1/3.06″ unit, atop which sits the six-element lens, one of the firsts on any Android device.
