Intex Aqua Octa is the Indian company’s foray into the huge screen 6″ phablet market, and is also one of the first devices to sport the Octa core processor from MediaTek. We had unboxed it earlier, to show you the box contents and a quick overview of the device, but this time around, we will show a walkthrough of the phone in clear photos. This 6 inch device from Intex is pretty unique. It looks like a really slim unibody phone but actually has a removable back cover and a replaceable battery, while managing to be light at the same time. It also has a sleek design over at the front, with a dark IPS screen and a metal rim, so how does it look from all the sides? Lets find out.

The front is dominated by glass and the display of course, but you can see how thin the bezels are, which make the device look really appealing.

Above the display we have the front facing camera and the ear piece, along with the two usual sensors.

Down below the display we have the three capacitive shortcuts for home, back and the contextual menu. They are backlit and offer vibrating feedback.

The phone looks really thin from the sides and sports the volume rocker on the far top right corner, which is not really ideal for a large device like the Aqua Octa.

To make things worse, Intex has moved the power button to the top, which will make it extremely hard to reach in one handed usage.

The left side is devoid of any controls, but again, look at how slim the phone is.

Over at the bottom, we have the micro USB port and the primary microphone. The rim which protects the front is made of metal, as evident from this photo above.

Over at the back, the phone has plastic parts for the top and bottom, for better cell reception of course. The metal part in the middle is matte and adds a premium quotient to the device.

There is a 13 MP camera at the top along with a single LED flash and the loud speaker by its side.

Sliding out the bottom plastic part will let you slide the back metal plate down and underneath, you have the battery and the card slots.

There are two SIM slots here, one micro SIM and one the normal size, and accompanying them is a micro SD card slot for expansion. That concludes the walkthrough of the Intex Aqua Octa, we will be bringing you the full review real soon. Until then, here are more photos –
