Lava launched its latest flagship device, the Iris Pro 30 in India at a launch event on January 17th. It was announced for a price of Rs. 15,999 and the company prided itself on having designed the product in-house, in India. Made of quality materials like magnesium alloy, the phone comes in at just 7.5mm thickness and 114g of weight, a far cry from hefty phones we have been seeing in this price range. So, how does the actual retail phone actually look and feel? and what are its box contents? We unbox the Lava Iris Pro 30 on video to find out –

Unlike many other phones in this price range, the box contents are not packed to the brim and are just basic –

As we had noted earlier in our hands on impressions of the Lava Iris Pro 30, the design of this device looks a lot like the iPhone. There is not doubt about that, but when it comes to the actual quality of materials and the display, the device clearly stands out at this price range. The display, especially, which is a Sharp-made OGS LCD panel, has insane viewing angles and colour reproduction, with deep blacks seen only on really few devices. The 720p panel is bright and beautiful and we think that would be one really strong selling point of the Lava Iris Pro 30, despite the last-year specifications for the internals.

The back, which also features a premium soft touch plastic material, is surprisingly good in the hands. Underneath the cover, we have the micro SIM and normal SIM slots with the micro SD card slot and a non removable battery. We think the inclusion of a non removable battery is plainly due to the thinness of the phone. Being one of the few premium light weight devices in this price range, we will definitely bring you more coverage, like benchmarks, gaming and so forth, so stay tuned to our blog and the YouTube channel for more on the Lava Iris Pro 30. Until then, here are some more pictures of the box contents –
