Nimbuzz for Windows Phone updated with push notifications

Nimbuzz for Windows Phone has been updated to version 1.1.1 that brings push notifications finally. The updated app also brings auto save option for incoming images, faster startup time that offers better user experience and more. Nimbuzz for Windows Phone was launched back in July and lets you chat with friends on Facebook, GTalk, Yahoo Messenger and MSN/Live Messenger. You can also share images and connect to Twitter using the app.

Skype for Windows Phone 8 (Preview) now available


Microsoft unveiled a new Skype app for Windows Phone 8 devices couple of weeks back, now the preview version of the app is available for the Windows Phone 8 devices. Skype for Windows Phone 8 has been completely built from the ground up for better integration with the Windows Phone 8 and has a completely new UI, better notifications and more. The first Skype for Windows Phone app was launched back in February, and it was launched in Windows Phone Marketplace in April. Draw Something and Words With Friends now available for Windows Phone devices, Free for Nokia Lumia phones

Draw Something and Words With Friends are finally available for Windows Phone devices. Nokia announced back in June that they entered into a partnership with Zynga to bring Words With Friends and Draw Something to Nokia Lumia Smartphones. These games are now available for free for the Lumia Smartphones from the Nokia collection and all the Windows Phone devices running Windows Phone 7.5 and later from the Windows Phone Store. Angry Birds Space, Cut The Rope arrive in the Windows Phone Store


Two most popular games, Angry Birds Space and Cut The Rope are now available in the Windows Phone Store. Rovio has released the Angry Birds Space for Windows Phone 8 devices, while the Cut The Rope is available for devices running on Windows Phone 7.5 and above. Gameloft has also announced that they would launch 12 games including popular games such as Asphalt 7 and N.O.V.A. 3 would be available for Windows Phone 8 devices in coming months. HTC 8X and 8S Windows Phone 8 devices launching in India next week

HTC has announced on the their Facebook page that they would launch the Windows Phone 8 devices in India next week.  HTC announced the 8X and 8S Windows Phone 8 devices in September, and the phones were in coming soon list in HTC India page since then. These devices are powered by a dual-core processor Snapdragon S4 processor. Nokia would also launch their Windows Phone 8 devices, Lumia 920 and 820 in India in November. Microsoft unveils Windows Phone 8

Microsoft has officially unveiled the Windows Phone 8 at an event in San Francisco as they announced earlier this month. They announced the Windows Phone 8 back in June, but at the yesterday’s launch event they demoed several features including new features such as Kid’s Corner, Rooms in People’s Hub and automatic image uploads from the phone’s camera. Nokia Lumia 920 and 820 launching in India in November

Nokia just announced today that it has begun shipping its first Windows Phone 8 devices in select markets to operators and retail outlets and it will go on sale in UK and France later this week.Russia and Germany would be getting the Lumia 920 and 820 after that.  Several other countries including India will see the Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 being launched sometime in November ( no exact date or price yet). The Lumia 920 packs an awesome camera with optical image stabilization and a pure motion hd+ display apart and runs on Windows Phone 8. Nokia Lumia 822 announced, coming exclusively to Verizon this fall

Nokia has finally announced the Lumia 822, their new Windows Phone 8 device exclusive for Verizon Wireless. It surfaced earlier this month as Nokia Atlas and has similar features as the 820 including a 4.3-inch (800 x 480 pixels) AMOLED  ClearBlack display, 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor and Windows Phone 8 OS. Unlike the 820, this phone has a curved design. It would support Verizon’s 4G LTE network.

Evernote for Windows Phone v2.5 update brings Note List Tiles, Popup Help Messages and more

Evernote has updated the Windows Phone app to version 2.5. This update brings new features including a new Note List that has a tiled look, Helpful Popup messages and more new features and improvements. The Evernote for Windows Phone version 2.2 update that was released earlier this year brought native notebook sharing, improved editing and better search. Samsung ATIV S gets priced in UK, Shipping late October


Samsung unveiled the first Windows Phone 8 device, ATIV S at IFA Berlin in August but didn’t reveal the availability or the pricing at that time. Now, UK’s online retailer Clove has announced that it is now availalble for pre-order with them and would ship at the end of this month. The Samsung ATIV S packs in a 4.8 inch HD Super AMOLED display and is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.
